Im new to minecraft forums
but do you mind making this for 1.3_01 for modloader v4
I'm going to stay as calm as possible. He has a life. He will update it when he does, currently, he is working on the Aether, with Shockah and somebody else.
The likelihood that he'll update this at all in the new future is very slim, and to be honest I don't blame him: the Aether mod is going to be without a doubt the biggest mod in Minecraft made to date. If King decides to give up on this, I would have no problems. Just so long as he sees the Aether to its end.
i gotta check out his aether mod
im probably going to like what's all in it
Hey dude, I saw you are making the Aether mod. But are you still working on this Advanced mod. Because I've been waiting really patiently and its still not updated :sad.gif: Please bro, PLEAAAASE update this regularly for us, we will love you for evs! and the Aether looks sweet as.
INFORMATION FOR EVERYONE!!!
Kingbdogz wont make new version, bicause he's working on Aether mod(viewtopic.php?f=25&t=211244)! When Aether will be finished so he will be back on this mod!!!
emm fail much???
you know he is working on this mod but he isent just updating but adding stuff thats why it's taking time
srry but i have like 10 daimond in a chest that have one of the item in this mod is there a way to get the 10 diamond without cheating
Sorry Julien if you have a modded item in a chest, the only way to change it is to install the mod ( which we can't do on 1.3 ) or go back to a previous version where the mod worked.
Outside of that you gotta use a chest edit program, and surely thats the cheating your trying not to do.

weird... there is no modders here that wants to update this mod? that usually happens nowadays
It's not like just anyone can update a mod. First, the person who best knows how the mod works is the original creator, making that person the best candidate for updating the mod without completely screwing it up. Second, it's disrespectful and (I think) illegal. The person who updated the mod would basically be stealing from the original creator. Also, I believe that even mods have some amount of copyright protection, based on the fact that Valve had to purchase the rights to the Counterstrike mod from the original creators. Either way, it's wrong. While I too am feeling extremely impatient for an update for this mod, I'm pretty sure the only way for someone else to make a version compatible with 1.3_01, both legally and ethically, is to create it on their own from scratch, and that would only be respected if the previous modder had lost interest in the mod, leaving it unupdated for so long that it had become clear that the mod never WOULD be updated.
Or not. At least I have yet to see someone mention an interest in creating a mod that already exists without someone quickly pointing out the preexisting mod, causing the redundant and incomplete mod to be quickly abandoned. By the way, could someone clarify for me just what copyright says concerning mods? In my mind, it is the approval of the game's original creators and that copyright protection that differentiates between mods and hacks.
Well, Notch can take mods and implement them without even mentioning the creator. He did it with Sandstone. xD
I've updated one of the mods here.. I wouldn't have the time to update the entire thing, but the Portable Workbench of his is on my mod page updated (has been for a while). King approves of it lol.
I have a few block ideas and no where to place them, so I'll just go and start by suggesting them here:
Trap door block
Look: 2 blocks long with smoothstone texture. One segment would be a regular smoothstone block that cuts off before it's intended limit, leaving a small gap. Second block is the equivalent of a stone pressure plate, but would apear to extend over to the first block's gap to cover it.
Effects: If simply placed, anything that would trigger a stone plate would trigger this when stepping on the thin part. The door would open for a short time then close again. With a red stone ciruit, it would remain oppened or closed solely on the circuit's status, reguardless of wether something is on it or not.
When it would be set to the "open" mode, it would let any block pass through as if nothing was there.
Recipe idea: Smoothstone with a stone pressure plate beside it.
This would help in making controleable reuseable valves and traps as well as short draw bridges.
Obsidian Blast Door
Look: 4 blocks high, 1 block wide. It's a blast door that slides down. Can't really describe it any better then that. The actual door is 2 blocks high, but would need 2 blocks overhead to store it's self when opened.
Effect: Same resistance as obsidian same usage as a steel door. Basicly, a door that can withstand any explosion just like Obsidian. Redstone circuit could connect to the highest point of this door to activate it making it easy to hide and protect. Would also be awesome if connecting two doors together had them share the redstone circuit without inverting the polarity (making it possible to make a wider blast door.)
Recipe idea: 6 stacks of 2 obsidian bars placed in the same way you would to make a door (orriginally 6 stacks of 2 obsidian blocks but with your mod, this would make more sense.)
Making creeper-proof bunkers, hazardous material testing zones, just plain cool doors for bases, etc...
Horizontal launch block
Look: I'm actually having trouble visualizing this one. Can a spring be drawn in a blockish way? Would that even be a good idea? :/
effect: When connected to a redstone circuit, toggleing it on would push the object on it's front end just the same as a single block of TNT would, but without the damage element.
Recipe idea: Hmm... Seeing as I can't even visualise it yet, I can't really suggest a recipe. :sleep.gif:; Something to do with metal bars and gunpowder come to mind though.
I'm just tired of having to relly on sometimes faulty and mostly space consuming launchers. Not to mention this would reduce the load on some worlds since they could remove their looping systems and have this set instead. This would also be a good alternative to trying to benefit from an unintended effect. (two carts pushing each-other)
I intend to recommend these straight up to Notch, but I doubt I,ll have much success with any of the ideas. In any case, use whatever you want from these and also I don't care for credit. I'd just love to see any of these implemented and since there's a good chance I'll be using your mod some day, I might as well toss it to you. :tongue.gif:
This looks like an awesome mod but i just cant get my head round it i have been going at this mod for 13 hours straight on my computer it doesn't have minecraft.jar so i went into something else and it said meta-inf which it said in instructions so i was thinking this might be the place but a diff name so i injected all the folders in (as told to do so) and it still didnt work and i followed exactly would it have been that i didnt put the sound of mobs in individually because i just out the folder at the start thats called mod in is this why its not working anyway thank for reading if you have read this :smile.gif:
It's not updated for 1.3. Jesus christ. It's been said so many times!
Every time this gets bumped I get more depressed.
Me:oooo look it's still getting comments maybe it updated
Usercommunity:Nope we just like bumping threads
Me:Please lock this thread until King is ready to update it.
This my Friend, IS THE MOST F*CKING AWESOME MOD I HAVE EVER SEEN.
many :Diamond:s to you my friend. Keep it up.
Btw, You should make some more runes, like, a diamond rune that when used summons a dragon to help you? of course, this would be outrageously expensive.

how do u go back too 1.2?
You have to have backed up your minecraft. Thats really the only way. Some people still have Alpha builds or even earlier versions of the game.
I started during Alpha and have copies of 5.00 of this mod for it. Though I would have never abandoned my main world if I had Max_Resistance back then. ( My field outside my castle base looks like the moon, its covered with so many blasts from creepers being destroyed by NPC humans )
