Help with water/lava reskin

Whenever I try to reskin water/lava it never works. Could someone tell me how? It just uses the default water/lava. I'm on Mac BTW.

Check the Minecraft Wiki. I remember finding a tool that allows you to easily change textures.

Are you using Zau's HD patch? If so you can create files at the top level of minecraft.jar to be use for still and flowing lava and water. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173
Plenty of info on installation, usage amd problem resolution for win and mac clients.
