This is the only mod I've ever downloaded that adds blocks to the game, and probably will be the only one.
This is sheer brilliance. I've used the textures from Paper Mario: TTYD in the Palace of Shadow. :3
you should make it that when u put a marble block in a crafting place u get 4 marble balls and u should also make a recipe for a sling shot which u can shoot the marbles with the recipe should be
Update to BiomeTerrain Mod is out that adds in support for the marbleWrapper class. I don't know if you have that version out yet, but I've implemented the calls for it and a placeholder wrapper class for it. Hopefully I did it right :tongue.gif:
For those who can't wait:
Save this as marbleWrapper.java, install all files from both mods(not Drakona's ps.class though) and compile this against your minecraft.jar and install this to replace the placeholder marbleWrapper.class. I tested it, and it appears to work.
import java.util.Random;
public class marbleWrapper
{
public void makeMarble(cw World, Random paramRandom, int chunkX, int chunkZ)
{
for (int i = 0; i < 20; i++)
{
int xx = chunkX + paramRandom.nextInt(16);
int zz = chunkZ + paramRandom.nextInt(16);
int yy = paramRandom.nextInt(16) + 64;
new marbleMaker().a(World, paramRandom, xx, yy, zz);
}
for (int i = 0; i < 3; i++)
{
int xx = chunkX + paramRandom.nextInt(16);
int zz = chunkZ + paramRandom.nextInt(16);
int yy = paramRandom.nextInt(48);
new marbleMaker().a(World, paramRandom, xx, yy, zz);
}
}
}

Wow, you guys really want to play with marble mod and biome mod together!
My fix is up now, with enough playtesting that I'm pretty sure nothing broke. If you're using tali's version, you shouldn't need to update -- it's identical to what I did. Three cheers for obvious APIs :smile.gif:
There's only one thing I can think of adding to this and that would be a recipe for half-step marble blocks. I've wanted to build huge extra long staircases out of marble since I first got the game. Would you be inclined to do this? If it's not something you're interested in doing do you think it would be at all possible with the way they're currently textured?
I do like this idea, and it does make sense to me. I don't know how the half-step blocks are textured, so I'm not sure how easy it'd be to do. I'll take a look.
Adding recipes would mean I'd start to bump up against modloader and the bazillions of recipe mods out there, so it would require extra support & integration work at a minimum.
Can you make the marble only look polished after it's been mined? Maybe, you could put a rougher, more natural texture for the natural deposits, and shiny, polished marble bricks for post-mining.
Oh goooood i wish i could have this with the Realistic Texture pack (and biome mod ofc)..
*thinks for a bit*
Okay so if i paste the marble textures into the Realistic Texture terrain.png, the right most marble texture overwrites a few tiles of the purple thing, will that cause animation issues with the portals? (thats what the purple is, right?)
Not that i care about the portals, but just thought i'd ask :smile.gif:

The purple tile things are probably custom textures for the portal swirlies (my current texture pack doesn't have any and everything works fine!), which don't work at the moment anyway, so I think you should be fine if you paste over them. :smile.gif:

Thank you for the quick fix :smile.gif:
I'll give you a link from the main page until we can get a long term solution put together.

The small one is 16x16, and the large one is 128x128 I think.
1. Add new blocks to the game
2. Make textures that can go over multiple blocks
Another thing, good job and cant wait to see more.
I think you can just reduce the size of the 128x128 texture to a 32x32 texture in an image editor.
Does any one know what's wrong?
