Any chance of this pack becoming 1.22 compatible? I was just curious... and if not, is there a way to make it 1.22 compatible? I never bothered with texture packs before the update so I don't know how to do it the old way.
Anyways, this is a beautiful pack and I just want to say thanks for taking the time to make it!!!

It's not, because it uses high-definition textures. You'll need to download the HD Texture Fix.

I found out how actually, you just have to take out the contents of the rar and turn them into a .zip. Then patch Minecraft to meet Boggly Woods needs, then put the newly made .zip of boggly woods into the texturepack file and it should work. (Worked for me)

Thank you, and also, are you getting the correct color gradients in the trees(gray) and grasses(blue, purple, green..)?
I don't remember the gradients working if you only put them into the .zip folder..

They worked, well, as far as I can tell before my Minecraft crashed, I must have done something wrong, I'm new to this stuff, what size is Boggly Woods? 32x32? 128x128? I'm using mcpatcher and as long as I have the right size this trick has been working on other non-compatible packs.

32x32. And just putting the color.pngs into the .zip file worked? :ohmy.gif:
Note: Hmm, crashing. I've never had any such problems or have heard such. So, me being me, I don't think it was the pack, but I'm not sure..

It crashed because I had the wrong size, give me a few minutes and I'll try it again. And not just the .png, everything.
EDIT: You are correct on losing the beautiful colors. The pack does work though this way, its just no fun because everything is green. I was wrong, I'm sorry. I though it worked because while I had it on the wrong size before it crashed it had the colors, so I thought if I put it in the right size it would all work, sadly it doesn't. Oh well, it was worth a shot I suppose right? :smile.gif: Sorry I couldn't figure out how to make it work.
I downloaded it, patched it, and extracted it, and it's just a folder!
You put the contesnts of the .rar file into a new .zip file titled "Boggly Woods"
For windows, I believe, you can right click on your desktop, click new, than created a compressed .zip folder. I'm not sure, though.

Extract the .rar using something like WinZip or 7Zip. It should produce a folder. Open the folder and gather all its contents, right click them and (if you are using WinZip, not sure on 7ZIP) click the Add To Archive option, it should bring up a window, if you look you will see the option to choose .rar or .zip on the left-hand side, click on .zip then press Ok. You should then see your newly zipped file!
Hal! I figured out how to make your pack work on 1.22!!
Just zip it up as I was talking about before, ok?
Then before you start Minecraft take the grasscolor.png and throw it into the minecraft.jar file (in its proper place) and this will make the grass color work and you will have the ability to switch, its just if you switch to anything else before putting the original grasscolor.png in Minecraft will keep a permenant Boggly Woods color! (Not nessicaraly a bad thing lol!)

Same for the tree color. png!
Ah, i thought you meant the color.pngs worked when in the .zip file, oh well. Anyways, awesome job. :3 I hope you enjoy the pack to the fullest. :3
Oh, and hint for a new texture pack. Do you know Francis from Super Paper Mario? Yeah.

I want to know how you made the grass color thing... I'm making a texture pack and since I've never done it before I'm lost, you made suck a pretty color swirl with your so I figured I'd ask you how you did it... I've been trying to make it in between fixing my textures but I can't get that wonderful smoothness you have on yours, so would you mind telling me how? It would be most appreciated. *bows before the almighty Hal*

No bowing. You'll dirty up your talent. Well, first, I chose the colors I needed, and as needed, I chose what colors go for which biome and blotted them with circles all about the triangle in the color.png, yet sitll sticking to the biome pattern. I do this in Paint.NET, so I use a helpful tool called "guassain blur" to smooth them all together.

Thank you very much for this Hal! I will start work immediately as I am slightly annoyed at my terrain.png as I can see to make smooth transitions for my block, they look funny when next to the same block, but I'm working on it. :smile.gif:
Once again thank you!!! (I have always felt food is more important than diamonds as diamonds can't feed you while you slave away at a computer.)
Hah, use Xau's HD texture fix.
