I just don't really want it, honestly. I don't know much about it, but I do know that compatibility issues abound with minecraft.
I liked the old treedrops which was modifiable via a properties file.
I don't see how it's necessary.
The entire point of modding APIs is to make mods more compatible and easier to implement. The Settings API makes it easier for modders to add an in-game settings menu to their mods without conflicting with other modders' in-game settings menus. Saying that you're worried about the API conflicting is exactly like saying you're worried that the modloader is going to conflict with a mod.
There haven't been a lot of requests to continue my work, unfortunately. Ah, everyone has their own projects, so I can't complain. However, someone did ask about picking up Timberrrrr mod, so that's cool.
I'll let you guys know if he decides to work on it. Who knows? Maybe he'll even do a better job than I did :tongue.gif:
Bladed Bows, Pluckin' Crazy, and TreeDrops are three mods I love! If no one else will update them (i.e. if no one replies to me), I'll learn java and do it myself. If I learned objective-c in a day or two, java can't be too hard.
MC crashes whenever i try to shoot a normal arrow from a dia bladed bow.
All the other Mods work perfect and crafting the bow aswell.

Enables skeletons to use 303's custom arrows. Every skeleton has a randomly selected prefix like Normal, Fire, Explosive, Ice, etc., which determines the arrows it shoots. Skeletons hold their prefix arrow in hand and drop it upon death.
[*:n2w35xt5]Imagine the horror of venturing in a cave and encountering an ice skeleton. As you flee, the skeleton misses you by a hair's breadth and hits near a torch, leaving you in the dark.
[*:n2w35xt5]Fight explosive skeleton bosses that hurt you even if they miss. You had better learn to dodge arrows fast. Fortify your shelter.
[*:n2w35xt5]Steer a torch skeleton to light your caves for you, but avoid its arrows as they set you on fire.
[*:n2w35xt5]Expect to suddenly go up in flame if you encounter a fire skeleton. Not only do their arrows set you on fire, but also the ground. Enjoy the heat of a freshly started forest fire. Watch your meticulously built log cabin go up in flame.
[*:n2w35xt5]Have hostile mobs multiply close by you when mob arrow skeletons shoot at you.
[*:n2w35xt5]Encounter tame cows and chickens and other friendly mobs in the deepest, darkest cave where the egg skeletons live.
[*:n2w35xt5]Drown in slime goo as slime skeletons spawn giant slimes around you.
[*:n2w35xt5]Have dirt skeletons block the way ahead of you, leaving you trapped with them.
You can alter the probabilities by creating a "mods/PrefixSkeletons/PrefixSkeletons.properties" file in your .minecraft folder with the following format:
The numbers are the relative 'weights'. To disable a prefix, set the weight to 0. The numbers don't have to add up to any particular number. You can also have skeletons use extension arrows, like the Tree Arrow, by adding lines like this in your PrefixSkeletons.properties file:
TreeArrow=10

I love Minecraft and I love music. YouTube Channel: daugystikproductions. I will continue posting a couple drum covers every week on there and possibly doing Minecraft videos in the future. All feedback is appreciated.
This is a great mod, good job!
One question, though: Are you a furry? :3

Hey just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be picking up Pluckin' Crazy, Tree Drops, Half Step Insanity, and Equivalent Exchange around when I update my own mods (either this weekend or when MCP updates).
smith_61 will be updating Timberrrr!, with a few minor changes. Keep a lookout for his thread when he posts one for the information and download. :smile.gif:

Thanks, Round and Smith. I was hoping someone would pick up development.
Which mod?
Haha, just kidding.
Is it really that much of a problem to install an API mod?
I just don't really want it, honestly. I don't know much about it, but I do know that compatibility issues abound with minecraft.
I liked the old treedrops which was modifiable via a properties file.
I don't see how it's necessary.
It's easier for both the modder and the user, and actually INCREASES compatibility.
So yes, necessary.
