I came here for the minimap and it doesn't seem to be working. Run the patcher, everything looks like it's going to work, run MC but there's no minimap :sad.gif:. Am I just retarded or it actually isn't working with 1.3?
In this case, both, because this mod broke when the newest version came out.
Relax people, he's using my 1.3_01 compatible version of BetterGrass. It's currently not compatible with any mod that adds new blocks (or that allows the addition of new blocks aka ModLoader), or any mod that alters the block rendering class (sidegrass fix, wildgrass, etc.) Also, just like betterlight before it, it requires that smoothlighting be enabled.
Here's a link for anyone who wants to play around with it.
Install both mods according to the instructions, then copy this file into minecraft.jar. (Note: Do NOT use the ModLoader-compatible variants of Wild Grass with these files.)

yes but i prefered the way you did sidegrass advize, it allowed more detail in grass blocks (i do not mind giving up wild grass for your version, i play amp alot so i dont see it often)

It's different now. Risugami has changed it so all of the usual detail on the dirt section of the sidegrass texture is still there, and it only uses one texture. Just take a look at this terrain.png to see what I mean. http://i.imgur.com/moTEq.png

That's understandable. I'm aware that having all these different files around is getting confusing. Personally, I'm hoping that ejhopkins will eventually be able to release an updated version of his Wild Grass patcher, which would at least make that mod easily compatible with most of the others that also modify bw.class. We'll have to wait and see, though.
Supertycoon already quoted the relevant post for you. Just install both mods, then the merged class file.
It's also an illegal mod because it's distributing a minecraft.jar file which Notch has specifically said he doesn't want people to do.

Everyone on my server uses this mod because there is no need to patch the server with some sort of wrapper just to be able to see where YOU are on the map. You are wrong sir, there is no jar file there, when you unpack it, there is a folder called minecraft.jar, but it is not a jar file. You are suppose to take what is in that folder and put it in the minecraft.jar file with the help of winrar or something to that manor. What he has done here is the same thing that all of the patchers do only you don't get a pretty exe doing all the work for you.
