This is a very epic looking pack, I will use it when it comes out. Time to go test it out!
P.S. I think you should make the iron have more orange tint added instead of closer to red, I personally think it looks better. But this is your pack so you do chose, either way it is epic.
DD.Joker, you seem to be the only one having an issue with the pack, so I don't know what you are doing wrong, but everyone else is having no issues with anything getting corrupted. I agree with speed when he says rock looks a little similar to sand and I will post up a couple of screenshots of your textures in action. PS, I love the water and the flowing water, it is sooo much nicer. =)

I keep on getting that error report. I'll try and use the patcher and see how that works.
I think the halfsteps need to be changed, they look very odd compared to the rest of the texture pack.
Maybe even making the current halfstep a higher resolution would be a nice texture to go with honestly.
Either that or something that blends with the stone or the cobblestone would be good.
The Ice/Water/Snow textures look great, it makes the world seem very much alive as opposed to the regular ones.
Here is the sand right next to some snow. I guess if they are right next to each other they don't look that similar, but when they are not near each other I can see how they might get confused at a first look. I guess the original stone seems a little fluid more than rigid.
Here is a compilation of a staircase going into the side of a mountain, everything looks pretty good, but again, the halfsteps seem a little out of place with their design.
A random tree with graphics of non-fancy, I would run the graphics on fancy but I don't like how the clouds are so big and transparent like. But the tree looks good.
Hey, I just tried to install the texture pack using MCPatcher v1.1.6. I downloaded the image from the mediafire link in the first post. This is the output MCPatcher displays in the log window.

Thanks for the great looking texture pack. :smile.gif:
Thanks for the feedback. I'll see what I can do with the stone and sand issue. I'll also have alternate steps available. For those who like to mix them with cobble.
So my current to do list:
-Revise gold, iron, diamond blocks.
-Make the orange/reds on the iron ores have more contrast.
-Sand and stone must have a bit more personality.
-Finish all untextured blocks.
-Revise custom water and fire
-Revise Minetracks.
-Revise halfsteps.
(Do add suggestions to my to do list for I might have skipped some)
A texture for lava would be nice. Lava in minecraft is too unrealistic, lava in real life starts to harden when exposed to air, and turn black. Maybe some black stuff mixed in the lava?
Guys if this crashes your minecraft when you log in, I have the solution:
Download the CURRENT version of the HD texture fix. It was crashing mine too because I was trying to install it using the old version. The current version works fine and actually has a lot more options.
Just had to make my first post on these forums to let you know that I am in love with this texture pack. Not only does my fiancee have motivation to finally play this game with us (private server) but it's such a wonderful texture pack I don't even mind that the foilage isn't done yet (my "main base" or whatever has a butt-ton of foilage all over it, it's Japanese-themed since my last pack made it look like bamboo). It's that wonderful that I easily overlook all these grey blocks, as I love having crafting tables and furnaces in each location I go to, haha!
I agree, the stone looks a little smooth, I thought it was sand at first...and I didn't really understand the thought behind the half-steps either. But everything looks incredible! Personally I might take the wood and move from a two-plank-per-block look to a three-plank-per-block look, but it flows pretty good as it. I may just have to edit it a little for personal preference (but it's a thought, who knows, it could fuel some master craftsmanship, or may not).
This really is an incredible feat so far, and it's not even done. I don't care what you've done in the past, this just screams that you've already out-done yourself.

I'm happy to hear that you and others are really liking the pack. It makes me sad that some others shunned and denied other hd 128 packs because I stand for everyone when I say tons out hours went into each one to make them flow and look nice. Some even went on to abandon all those hours of work because of the negative feedback and support. As for me, I'll continue to work on this pack since most of the work paid off.

True man, happy to know that u wont quit because of some troll...also will u be doing the reskins of the item?
Ok i take it the first page is also the last version ? ... seems to have changed from my memory ... so, comments on the ores:
- Gold is fine, i like it :smile.gif:
- Diamond, the feel for the crystals looks fine, but there are way to many on the block
- Ore, i would suggest going for the original IRL ore look, but integrated into the block like you did with the gold, so its the IRL ore texture you did, but within and along side the Ore texture, also add 'Stone' texture so it mixes nice into any rock formation ... overlay the iron ore texture, with your rock texture, and just 'whipe' the rock texture off till you got a nice mix :smile.gif:
Other comments you had on todo well, i agree :smile.gif: , esp. on some of the flat blocks (brick f/e) use those extra pixels :wink.gif:
I haven't updated the front page in a few days. All ores and brick textures changed drastically from the pictures I've provided.
So I ended up resizing MixCraft to 2048 x 2048 to match this texture pack's size, and then I spliced this one with Mixcraft 10. It looks absolutely beautiful, except for one problem: there are white boxes around torches and flowers, and there is no transparency for windows. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: There is also no transparency between the tree leaves or inside of monster spawners.
MS Paint doesn't support transparency (assuming that's what you've used). You need to edit your own texture with a program like GIMP or paint.net and change all white (#FFFFFF) into a transparent "color", done by selecting all the white and pressing delete. Make sure that your image has an alpha channel, else you need to add one.
Also, I imagine your ice and water lost their translucency too.
Yeah, I was using MS Paint. I kinda figured it might have been a transparency issue. Just wanted to be sure. And yes, the water lost its transparency as well. Thanks for the help! :biggrin.gif:

Alright, I've fixed everything except for the water. How do I add partial transparency to the water? I'm using Paint.NET, by the way.

Will you be updating your Beta Pack after each update, or will you not bother untill Main release
