I've just programmed a brand new feature (rev. 617+) that has never before existed within Minecraft.
It is spectating. No, not spectating as in rank. I mean true, first-person, real-time, you-see-what-they-see spectating, like that found in popular multiplayer FPS games.
The user is completely unaware that you are spectating them, and as long as you have fly hacks on, it is perfectly smooth and barely lags.
It's a really great feature for catching griefers, and for simply having fun watching what your players (Or OPs) are up to. The command is "/spectate [name]" or "/spec [name]".
This is really an awesome idea! I bet it will go great with /hide or does spectate hide you as well?
On an unrelated note, how does pasting work?
When you're spectating a player, nobody can see you, and you cannot see yourself or the player your spectating (because you're inside of him/her - wait there are no girls on the interenet). So you are effectively hidden (invisible), but you can send and receive chat to everybody normally (unless you ARE hidden).
If someone is hidden and you try to spectate him, it'll say, "Cannot find player".
I didn't make it that way intentionally, but I'm not gonna bother. I think it's fine as-is, unless somebody wants me to change that.

When do you think this will be available? :ohmy.gif: Sounds nice.

It is already available. It's in the SVN (since revision 617 (current revision is 620)).
I think it MAY also be in the Release ZIP on minerCPP's sourceforge front-page.
Can someone explain how the copy paste function works? I'm having trouble positioning things correctly.
Okay, let me give you some of the basics. You need to use a WoM Client Wrapper. Look at the top where there is "f:123(numbers). The number f:180 is like "North". The paste point is the lower right corner, so if you place a block for example:
(brick = paste "block")
The copied object will be top left corner of that block (if you are facing f:180):
(sand = pasted object)
In short terms: If you are facing "north" (f:180). Where-ever you place the paste block, the object will ALWAYS be top left corner of it (northwest)
On another note:
I hope they will implement a flip/rotate sub-command with copy/paste as it will be very nice :smile.gif:. Also I wonder if it will ever be possible to archive /copied objects : P so everyone server-wide would be able to use it. /rollback or /undo command would be very nice as well, for oopsies, from /draw and /copy/paste.
The only thing I found bad with this final version was the complete perma-lag that randomly happens, but aside from that, its golden.
Goodbye minercpp, Rest in peace!

Hi, I was wondering how to use the /restore command. Every time I put in the file name from the backups folder, it says invalid file name. I'm not sure exactly what file name I'm supposed to be putting in. Thanks in advance!
Oh, dag10 also made a feature that should make it easier. Type '/recent 5', and it will restore the 5th most recent backup. '/recent 7' restores the 7th most recent, etc...
