Yay, it works well. Tip for those who don't know where to paste. f:180 on your WoM Client is "North" and the paste point will always be the bottom-right corner
EDIT: Hmm random funny glitch XD. When I /copy and paste, I suddenly have /paint working? Feature or glitch?
Weeeee. Next we gotta centralize all those harden / soften, drawing and whatnot instead of keeping the code shattered all over :tongue.gif: I left some comments for you. And we better think of some good way to kill and spawn threads :biggrin.gif:
I would suggest moving the command handling functions to a new source file. You would have to make the messages in srvmessage.h extern and define all of them in a srvmessage.cpp or similar file to prevent linker errors.
I've done that and I cannot compile it. Also there is no Rebuild available, only build. Which just fails.
I get
Error 1 'Sub Main' was not found in 'ConsoleApplication1.Module1'. ConsoleApplication1
*shrug* sounds to me like something isn't right.
you are using VB or C#, not C++. You need to make a C++ project for a C++ program.
My ZOMG generated map keeps bugging up the game. I connect, then immediatly ge disconnected.
It's the right size, and my other map used before works, just not this.

I got the same problemo, using Visual C++.
you must be trying to make a gui application instead of an empty console project.
I'll make a full tutorial w/ lots of big (1600x900) pictures.
I think you're all going to like what we have planned. vLK has overhauled the threading system, it is far more stable than it has been on previous builds.
vLK updated the main .zip file today, it's quite stable/fast thus far. Be careful with /copy! It will crash if it pastes past the sky. This will be fixed in an upcoming revision. https://sourceforge.net/projects/minerc ... p/download
Plans:
- Complex physics. Finite water, sand falling into a pile, etc.
- /whodid and /undo type commands.
- [Pending]Multiworld, most likely on a sub-branch of mCPP.
- /rules and /accept system, with an OP-chat
- Multi-platform (run on Linux and Mac)
Zemnez, are you using a recovery disk? If you are, I would reccommend getting a new hard drive, since even small servers need as much ram as possible to work with minecraft, or computers when they run minecraft.

Multiworld turns out to be a very simple implementation. Infact, I got a primitive version working in under 10 minutes. I may post a test build soon (not to run your server, but for proof of concept).
Ahh, okay, Its just that I have a laptop thats hard drive bus is broken, so even a working hard drive doesn't work, so I have to use a live disc to boot off of and run on.
Unison, Vkl, whats on the list of ideas to try ou next?

Just a tip, storing edits, if not done right, can cause a computer to practically freeze. I recommend against adding edits on the main branch, but I would recommend a secondary version for those who think they can handle it.

Anyone else still getting major hangs? I'm still getting the server freezing for up to 5 minutes when someone tries to join the server. It seems to happen once and a while when users are leaving as well.

are you sure you use the latest revision??
i don't get any hangs when people join/leave or when during huge draws.

I'm using the 0.4B version downloaded fresh from the project page.
Could it be the map?
Yeah it just might be the map. How big is it? Amiculi (#minercpp) had similar problems, so I recently uploaded a new .zip containing it all...
If I just knew where to start on making minerCPP more stable (getting the threadpool more efficient and able to handle generic tasks) I'd do so... but atm I really feel stuck :/
Just so you now minercpp has NO problems with the big maps i use, i have a map that's 6 mb of size, no lag except for client-side!!
Hey i just got this and use it on my new server i made :biggrin.gif: I really like it but the draw doesn't seem to work right... Maybe its just my connection but when i use it it will stop drawing before finishing the last blocks. Is it just me or is it a bug in the script? (And yes it happens even though i got infinitive draw) :sad.gif:
