Firstly, thank you so much for this wonderful, incredible script! :biggrin.gif:
Secondly, I have a question, how come after I edit the "server.cfg" file, and start minerCCP, "server.cfg" is either corrupt, or template something is not right. It then resets the server.cfg to its old one. How do I fix this? I used to be able to edit and execute it properly? (I edited it with notepad)

Chances are you just used characters it didn't like or your server name or MOTD was too long, I notice if I have the MOTD too long it resets to a default template. Just a couple suggestions.

Well, I think you guys have done a very good job as of yet. I have a slight complaint however, you can't enter anything into the console. I think it would be nice to have a spartan external UI, but barring that, at least make it so you can enter commands such as /say and /ban into the default console.

You can't enter anything in most custom server consoles.
Hi @ all, to the first...the MinerCPP rules :smile.gif:
Sometimes my server crashed...
..i am not on my PC...
...my friends cant play and must wait for me... :sad.gif:
What can i do?
Here is a little way to kill this problem:
Make a batchfile namend serverstart.bat (or so)
Make this file into the folder where is the minerCPP.exe
Open the serverstart.bat with an texteditor and type in the follow comands...
Thank you Unison for threading it all :biggrin.gif:
Every connecting player is now threaded, this should help a lot. But as usual, we can't say for sure until it's been tested, so please give us as much feedback as you can. Thanks a lot :biggrin.gif:
Just ran some testing with the latest released binaries. Hot damn that's a good job.
I didn't have any users on BUT even still I could see a massive improvement with how the server deals with gigantic /draw's among other things. What I could see was the server picked up test statements during the fill and while it still waited to show up client side when the draw finished, there was no lag afterward and it recovered immediately.
im not sure what /draw does, i see it in the code, but don't know what it does, or how to use it. thanks to a non-updated website..
as far as things go, yes, the server is faster i guess, i didn't notice it much, but reguardless, after leaving my server on overnight, it got the issue where it hanged and did nothing., didn't take any input.
The new threaded-script works much better than the old one, it doesn't lag randomly anymore! but I noticed sometimes when there are loads of people (especially when they join at the same time), massive lag occurs D:. But otherwise, it is working very well.

Things are moving quickly. If we kept the website as up-to-date as the software, we wouldn't have time to do anything. Just be happy there's software at all.

Quicksilver, there is no lag proof method, especially when it comes to threading.
Exactly. Though, we've figured out what is causing the hang. We will get as much threaded as possible. Threaded map sending has cut down on hangs greatly already.
Needs moar .
Anyways, I've said it before and I'll say it many more times - great work so far!

Oh Alright I think it works now, thanks!

Suggestion:
/dice
/spleef
maybe?

If the minerCPP.exe crashed...
...the batchfile start it again. :smile.gif:

(I hope this is no spam, but i think this is a good info)
That isn't spam!
That's a wonderful idea you got there!
Who am I?
I am the other 5% that is laughing.
It should fix itself. You probably made a map in omen and MinerCPP fixed it to be compatible
Map sending is threaded, no more lag when someone joins.
http://minercpp.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/minercpp/bin/minerCPP.exe?view=markup&pathrev=381
/draw and /clearguest
Incoming connections (this may be what's causing the hangs)
Physics
just going to test it now, so get in here people :biggrin.gif:
http://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp?serve ... 96ecb8b2d6
only gonna test it for 15 min :sad.gif:
cause after that i need to go to school :tongue.gif:

Once again, great work!
