Make a letter command that when you type /makeleter A it would create the letter A at your feat :x
Or a tree command... or physics.... bu yea, if you make a letter command i will forever be in your debpt :3
With some more time with the server I have a few things to add.
The above suggestions are great, but another nice thing would be a fill command that functions similarly to the way /clearguest works. Probably for only higher ranks, obviously.
Speaking of the /clearguest command, it does NOT like it when you use it to clear out large chunks of stuff, often times lagging to the point that people disconnect, or even crashing the server.
On the server itself, it's mostly quite stable, but those random lag spikes can be terrible sometimes, often times killing the server entirely but there's no readouts for it. My biggest suggestion on that front would be both a method of it finding out it's died like that or some other way and a method of having it automatically restart itself. It only ever does so when I JUST go afk it seems, but that's probably just poor luck.
Overall the server is great. When it's working it works wonderfully, but sometimes it doesn't. I'm sure you'll iron out the issues eventually and if there's anything I can do to help you track stuff down, be sure to let me know.
pretty sure above all other features or anything, there needs to be this threading feature... i'm sure i'm not alone in saying that the massive sections of lag are slowly making me want to change server software.
I'm not complaining, i love the software, but i just feel as though threading should be at the top of the priority list, as the other features wont have much use if we can't run the server properly :tongue.gif:
Also, there seems to be a bug, its happened about 3 times in the 4 or so days i've used minercpp, what happens is the server will just slowly appear to fill up, and eventually look full and not let anyone in, even when nobody is actually in it.
Amiculi, fill is already complete and functioning perfectly. Expect it relatively soon.
For the random lag spikes, we are going to thread certain things such as map sending, physics (once implemented), /clearguest, and /draw (fill). This should fix most, if not all of the lag problems.
Yes i think the priority should be making the software stable. I will run my server in debug mode tonight, hopefully it will fail by morning. That will bring is a bit of insight into the problem :smile.gif:
Very much looking forward to threading and bugfixes. You guys are great :3
Honestly, at this point, even if I never got multiple worlds and all the jazz I wanted back a page or w/e, I would be happy with the current feature set.
I don't know if this has been addressed before since I don't feel like going through 9 pages of posts right now but some of my friends host servers with your guys' software and it's great. But why exactly does this happen: ...?
At times lines upon lines of that will flood the chat
This is an amazing Custom Server guys, GG to you :smile.gif:
But can anyone tell me how the "Guest Area" works.
I do the command /guest and after i can use 2 blocks. So guest can only build between those blocks ?
The latest version adds a bit of help to it, /guest then place one block in the bottom corner of the guest area, then another in the opposing top corner. I'd recommend keeping the bottom corner ABOVE ground if you're using the /clearguest command. That chewing through solid earth is quite the lagfest.

I had that occur for only one line yesterday, I assumed someone was messing with some kind of emoticon text that hadn't been announced yet. It was just one line though. Have you considered Ctrl-F'ing the server.log for something near where it happened and see what the server side was seeing?
[Edit]
And to Unison, I suppose I should find out where you make your announcements of what you've got going so I don't ask silly questions.
I also had the server filling up issue lastnight. It was fine unattended after I went to bed for about 3 hours before it started filling itself. It took about an hour and a half for it to fill up with fake users and it sat as such for nearly six hours when I got to the computer and reset the server. Otherwise it was apparently fine, it just wasn't letting anyone in.
People could even create their own commands scripts to do custom functions like making houses or tunnels.

Arsecraft minecraft server, minecrafting since the very beggining.
Really though Ryu, that's stuff for scripting (whenever and if ever it's added), the basic server stuff is more important to have hardcoded.

I finished porforwarding my port. I need help.

I'm behind a router and it's working just fine with ports forwarded. Check your windows firewall and double check your forwarding settinngs.
I really need help. Please.
It wasn't a custom.
