what i relly want is being able to spawn in SPECIFIED mobs with the insta-spawner, its annoying when you have no tundra/taiga biomes so you have no way of getting a pet frost scorpion, or no jungles to get pandas with ect ect

i agree i usually play super-flat cuz it reduces lag but i love arctic foxes but i cant get them =(
There's that too. And the Pygmy Owl, and the Saw-Whet Owl, and the Great Grey Owl, and the Horned Owl....
Maybe I should put this in a list.
-Great Horned
-Great Grey
-Snowy
-Burrowing
-Northern Pygmy
-Barn
-Sooty(they're like Barn Owls)
-Saw-Whet
-Long-Eared
-Hawk
-Elf
-Boreal
-Spotted
-Flammulated
-Barred
-Short-Eared
-Ferruginous Pygmy
-Western Screech
-Whiskered Screech
There you go. All of the owls I know of.
Yes, I did have a bird book. I love birds.
That does make sense. I don't know if Dr. Zhark can make it so that mobs don't spawn on specific/player-placed blocks, but I suspect it's possible. It might just take some extra work.
I don't understand about the point you are trying to make about the mod not being "minecrafty". I mean, yeah, the models and textures are very complex, and Zhark is thinking about updating some of the older models, but it still feels like minecraft to me. Especially the addition of monsters. Yes there are a lot, but the point of the mod is to have lots of in-game creatures.
I just don't get your point.
What I'm trying to say is that all those mythical/ magical stuff draws away from what makes minecraft so special. Minecraft is actually well known due to creepers and it's 8-bit graphics not ogres, werewolves, nether monsters such as nether ostriches. Minecraft is almost like a post apocalyptic world where it's over run by zombies, skeletons, primitive humans, low biodiversity, explosive creatures, and creatures coming in from other dimensions. It's not a world where there are mythical and magical monsters and creatures. That's what all these suggestions of oversized animals and magical creatures make it less minecrafty. Mo'creatures should ambience and content that is able to fit in well with minecraft. And that's what the animals are doing and a couple monsters.
About the golems i think need a little change from it's A.I. to stay no more far than X blocks from the player,or if you make it near a construction that can't go more far than X from the construction..is to expensive create a iron golem who go far..far away..
If a Golem walks with the player always stay in a side or at player back..if the player stop it stop moving like a statue, only move if have a hostile mob near or stay in the player way..(like endermen detect you look at it and go to you back..)obiously, start moving if the player walk more than 4 blocks away..
Why not can make stonegolems,(make the same damage and have the same endurance than stonesword..its only an example..)goldgolems have a attack faster than iron golem, but have less live and strenght..redstoneGolem only can mobe in a zones with a line of redstone..that can be 1 block underground..(the perfect sentinels..)only snow and stonegolem are weaker than it..but it with a hit trow away the mobs like the iron golem and if that is a creeper, explode 5 blocks far from the golem..GlowstoneGolem have a similar strenght and live than redstonegolem, but if stop walking make the same light than a glowstone block..if continue walking the light turns of..(to evitate lag,etc..)
lapislazuliGolem..i don't know..but lapislazuli is 1 of the useles ores..need's somthing to be interesting..maybe can use enchanted books to enchante lapislazuliGolem..
NetherockGolem burn the mobs who attack..Wood golem float in water only snow golem is weaker..
Clay or BrickGolem..(you decide)and coblestoneGolem are like snowgolem..can attack at long distance, but are stronger than snow golem..if is a clay golem,is only few more strong than snowgolem,if you decide brickgolem, make a little bit less than arrows..
I want that giants..
If exists werewolfs, why not werebig cats,werebears,werebats,wereeagles,werespiders,wererats,weresharks,werecrocodriles,etc..to have more mobs to use the golden sword..
I think maybe in human form werecreatures can have the same skin than testificates,to make hard to kill near a village..or if play moocreatures+millenary have the skin of the nearest type of villagers..other option can be 25% of werewolfs in day have a normal wolf..maybe you tammed a wolf..you return to your home and surprise..you have a werewolf in your home..XD
No just stop with the were-everything, the mod maybe called mo'creatures, but it's not mo'complicated
Exactly thank you i mean i love the cats but could you redo the model and ya add smilodons and other saber cats?
They WILL get a makeover, block daddy already finnished the models and is working on the textures as he stated earlier on the thread, i would expect them to be introduced next update. Smilodons would be EPIC...
Totally off topic, please for all that is good and original: DO NOT MAKE MORE ESSENCE-ABLE ANIMALS... I mean, ostriches are ridiculous..... I like the wyvern, but it should've stopped there......
Mo' Creatures greatly enhances my minecraft world. Without it installed it really does feel bland and lifeless. I would enjoy seeing more fantasy type creatures as well as truly existing ones..but I wouldn't want to go nuts with it. I also wouldn't want to have critters too extreme (but at least we'd be able to turn them off if we didn't want them.
The essence created creatures are nice, but too many would kill it I think. I think having to breed to get special things is a more fulfilling route. Or maybe even questing to find special items to 'summon' something special into existence.
I think having magical, mythical, and perfectly non-sensical creatures is just fine. Non-sensical things are fun to play with and explore. And Minecraft is definitely a game where you play with things and explore.
For the Golems, I think they're pretty cool. Only problem is their ability to kill any mob when they're recharging and to pick up blocks. My thoughts on them:
1: Do not have them kill tamed creatures! Nothing is worse than going through the effort to get something like a Ghost Pegasus and then having it die just because a golem spawned on top of your house and won't go away.
2: Don't have them actually pick up and use blocks; only have them duplicate nearby blocks and use them. For example, one is on your house. When charging, none of the blocks are actually manipulated. Instead, the golem essentially scans the blocks around it, finds the matching textures, and then uses them on the "blocks" it's building itself with. No damage to structures, no need to turn them off completely.
Becoming any creature you want would be really fun, especially on servers. Why not? Have special drops for creatures and have the player use those drops in a special potion that can transform them into that specific mob upon command. Some mobs will allow you to transform in other ways, such as a werewolf's bite.
Having the new big cats would be awesome! I especially like the feel that Mammoths have put into the game, meaning that Saber-Toothed Tigers would be a great addition. The two would go together nicely.
What I want with the insta-spawner is to have it so you don't have to continuously click the button in order to get to the creature you want. Biome-specification would also be good.
Just a little something; the Hay Stack would probably do best as a block. Place it, and tamed creatures that can eat it will when their health is low; good for breeding vanilla creatures too. The creatures can detect it when 5 blocks or closer. If allowed, they'll just eat it. The Stack will soon go away, like a player eating cake.
Mammoths/Elephants are great; they're big mounts, with the ability to break blocks and sometimes allow two players to ride them. My current problems are these two though:
1: Have mobs up to the Mammoth's/Elephant's waist or lower be pushed by the Mammoth/Elephant. It's kind of silly, and not at all intimidating, to be shoved around by Rats and Spiders while riding the large creatures.
2: Sometimes, when the Tusk Coverings are being used, the Mammoth/Elephant will continuously dig a hole, fall in it, and bury itself. Maybe change it so that only blocks in front of the Mammoth/Elephant are broken?
Dragons may be added soon; any suggestions relating to dragons shouldn't be "Add dragons", but rather "Add these dragons". That way there aren't a bunch of posts saying simply to add something that is almost already guaranteed to be added, and instead posts as to what it could be like.
Gryphons would also be a good addition, I bet it's already being considered.
Better and/or birds I would also support. Seeing a flock of parrots in a rainforest, a lone eagle on an oak on a mountain, or a couple of cardinals in a taiga would be very enjoyable. Though there are so many birds in real life that the update would probably be major. Bird Overhaul!
Also.... The new Essence Ostriches are fun to ride. Especially trying to fly them!
Minecraft really does feel bland and lifeless without Mo'Creatures. That's why I'm willing to support a lot of things in this mod; It just makes everything so much more interesting(aside from the bugs here and there, lol. But they're never major. That's the great part.)

Hah! You though you would see something interesting here, didn't you?
Alicorns, just plain alicorns, and maybe a dark alicorn so it goes with the dark pegusus and normal pegusus, also dark unicorns.
(an alicorn is a horned pegusus really)
i dont want a fairy horse, i want an alicorn D:

I'm not a real doctor, but i am a real wolff! A chocobo loving wolff! Please help my dragons!
Kraken. A large hostile water mob with eight tentacles and an eye. Maybe a boss mob. Starts attacking when your around 12 blocks away. At times, it drags you towards it. Maybe any other awesome attacks.
Invisible slime. Lurks in caves. 3 sizes. All deal damage. The largest can destroy blocks. You can only tell where it is is by the almost invisible slime particles and the direction it is pushing you.
Mimic silverfish. Fake ore block that lies in caves. When you mine it, a swarm of silverfish spawn. The amount of silverfish differ to the ore. (Coal ore: 1 silver fish. Iron: 2 silverfish. lapis lazuli: 3 silverfish. Gold: 4 silver fish. Diamond/emerald: 5 silverfish.)
Not too sure if the second counts as a creature. If it doesn't, could you alter it?
How so?The special ostriches look like dragons and can (somewhat) fly. What would the dragons do?Look like dragons and fly.
Clearly the dragons would look like Nordic dragons, horrible wyrms that crawl beneath the earth and gnaw at the roots of the world above
Or maybe the Zmey, a 3 headed dragon that gives guidance and intelligence
Maybe they'll be eastern dragons who are wingless and fly through the skies and ocean, ruled over by the dragon king
I bet you at least 3 people are going to both agree and disagree with this assessment of dragons, and this is why the blighters will never be added. Because everyone has their own view of them

The Emperor's Rage echoes through the hills. The Emperor's Strength grips this land with fists of iron. The Emperor's Courage burns everlasting. The Endless Army will crush the Emperor's foes.
here are 2 ideas i have(i suggested one before but i improved it)
dark dragon
this dragon can be found only in the end. its extremely shy and builds its nests around the crystals. will only attack if you steal its eggs and is the only dragon (due to its rareness) that can be tamed as an adult. once tamed it can be ridden and will carry its eggs(if it has any). males have horns and spines going down its back and females have larger wings then the males. if given an essence of light it will transform into a light dragon. is black in the wild but if given a dye it will change colors and its attack(all colors will be a dark version)red=fire purple=poison blue=water etc.)
light dragon
polar opposite of the dark dragon. can only be obtain by giving a dark dragon an essence of light(if given to a colored dark dragon it will be the same color except really light, colors giving other powers apply with this to). its appearance is similar to a dark dragon except white and faster. will glow at night if given a nether star
breeding guide
to breed dark or light dragons give a female and a male an essence of darkness(light if its a light dragon), the female will need a roost to lay her eggs (will post recipe later). once they are laid they will take 3-4 in-game days to hatch. once hatched you can give them the right essence to instant grow them

Based on some extinct mammoth or elephant or something, the thing was huge and it had four tusks. Essentially a bigger, stronger elephant and mammoth with four tusks
Mo Creatures is fine as it is, but having dragons would make it a lot better. You could make an option to have them not spawning, for the people who don't want dragons, but does it really make any difference after there are tons of fictional mobs already in Mo Creatures? If people don't like fictional creatures then they can go and find a mod without any. It's not like creepers exist, either...
Anyway, my suggestion is different types of bats, as an addition the bats that are already in minecraft:
Fruit bat: Passive, lives in groups. Will follow you if you hold an apple, melon or glistering melon slice. Is tameable with some apple/melon slices, or one glistering melon, and will ride on your head. Drops melon when killed
Vampire bat: Hostile, not tameable, drops fangs when killed.

can i use your fishes in my mod to be the prey of my eagles in my eagle mod?
perhaps, but currently that model can not be animated the way it is. also i'm trying to get an independent mod made for the fish so DrZhark wont have to do as much work if he decides to add them to mo'creatures.
i have an idea for tameable crocodiles. to tame a crocodile, you must get the crocodile eggs. crocodiles have a certain drop chance of a crocodile egg. it's the same thing with snakes and komodo dragons, place it near a torch and it'll hatch and it's tamed. crocodile hatchlings will attack insects and mice. when they get bigger they'll attack almost anything. also, why not add alligators, caimans, and gharials? alligators are neautral mobs, caimans are agressive when they are larger, and gharials are passive and only eat fish. the three crocs spawn in swamps except for caimans which spawn in rainforests.
perhaps, but currently that model can not be animated the way it is. also i'm trying to get an independent mod made for the fish so DrZhark wont have to do as much work if he decides to add them to mo'creatures.
If you do that mod with the fish, do you think you can make it so that there is a chance of catching one with the fishing pole? I understand that Mojang wants to make fishing more fun at some point in the near future, still it could be worth looking into.
