I have an MCPC+/Cauldron server with both Custom NPCs 1.7.2.2 and More Player Models 1.7.2 installed, and yet my players are not able to use the various typed commands such as /sit. The buttons work alright, but they are receiving a "no permissions" error when they try to type the command. According to the information on Noppes site, and his videos, the commands should work automatically. Are there permissions nodes, or does that only work in SP? Anyone have any ideas? If they do exist, where the heck are they posted?

Cauldron automatically gives all commands permissions. Check the console when cauldron starts.

They should still be posted somewhere, because, while our Cauldron runs the commands nodes at startup, it does NOT automatically give the permissions. I guess my question should be "Why isn't it automatically giving the permissions?" I'm copying them into the PEX file, but I'm still puzzled about why they didn't automatically work.
UPDATED: Interesting. Even with the permission nodes added to PEX, they don't work, and the console is indicating some issues. I'll try to post them, as I'm going through the log right now.

as of late i dont know because my skin is Still for v1, but if i die once or if i reload the world, its Steve skined w/ teh head remaining but none of the Features show.
I've been having a bit of a problem. I recently updated my Minecraft to 1.7.10 and got the 1.7.10b version of this mod, but for some reason using any body parts that don't pull textures directly from my skin file causes all body parts below that to use the default Steve skin. Also, on my server, all other players will appear as a Steve-skinned version of their normal model.. This happens for the other people to play in the server as well.
Is there a way to add custom textures to the tail and ears? All I can do is give them a solid color.
I'm not too sure about the tail, but I think for the ears, you can use that empty space in the top right of the skin (by the hat layer) to add in your own textures. If I had to guess, I'd say the tail uses that giant space beside the arm slots (bottom right. If you're using the 1.8 format, it's the space beside the "Arm right" texture).

This calls for experimentation!
EDIT: I put some test textures where you told me, and it made no difference.

This happens for me too! MC 1.7.10 with MPM 1.7.10b

Looked at the texture for the default squirrel tail in the mod's jar file. It doesn't seem to fit any skin type, not even 1.8's. So maybe you can't change the texture. Seems to cover a lot of random areas when applied to a 1.8 skin.
We need something like this to show where the textures are taken from. Even if we need a second file (or a larger file like 1.8) I'd really like to be able to have full access to what the extra body parts look like.
I'm having a problem with my player model. Whenever I change the height of my player, the pov doesn't change in anyway. Can someone tell me what's wrong with it? The Point of View is enabled and I tried turning on and off and it didn't do anything for me...
I've noticed some issues today when players on my server were messing with player models. Randomly the first person hand of the player looking at someone with a different body part gets their hand changed to the Steve skin.
These are pictures of what happens when turn to view the player different and when he disables the body part.
ok this is odd, now the issue yea occurs w/ or w/o another player Model Renderer mod (in this instance i have Tails! mod installed as i actually like the animated tail <3)
but this is weird, when i change features outside teh tail (the new update teh other day for it added ears and wings) if fixes MPM's Model render WHEN it "Steve Skin's" Except switching to Ear Type 1 in MPM it all breaks again. going to test 2 instances w/ MPM /Forge and MPM/Forge/Tails and see if its related to Ear Type 1 in MPM (agin im not sure if it's related, but my skin is MPM v1 based im not sure if its whats been the root of the mod breaking render after death,)
Edit: w/ MPM and Forge 1231 after death skin breaks, using any ear type works EXCEPT type 1 and Bunny those break the render of the skin details. and tested in an instance w/ MPM+ Tails, set an ear type in it and set MPM to None/anything besides Bunny or Type1 and the Model fixes itself even after deaths.

-snip-
tail models like the Squirrel Tail cannot be re-textured. They are simply too large, with too many different shapes and what-not to put onto the player skin. I'm afraid for this you'll manage to get solid colors onto it.

Check to see if you have another mod installed that alters the player camera in any way.
