Here is a helpful Skin Making guide. I included a test skin!
-FYI, I made the guide, so i would like credit. Thanks
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing this with everyone. Too many "is there a skin map" posts and the break-downs on MPM site appear to be too complex for a lot of users. I think this will help out a lot of people.
I know I'll be using it myself too!

Please, somebody make an addon for MPM that makes the hitbox change accordingly to whatever your model is scaled to. I really need my Dwarvish-esque race Minecraft fix because I'm fed up with not being able to go through at least a block and a half slab of empty space.
This is driving me to my rage and I need that immersion. With my dwarven-esque being I expect to be able to go through smaller areas and shoot the arrow from the bow at the correct area (at the crosshair and not from somewhere overhead) and by making it an add-on, there must be some way for you to have it banned from the servers. Come on guys. Seriously, please.. just.. please, pretty please. This is a very big deal not just for me but for others who want to play dwarves in SP and other such short creatures.
I play in single player only and I am fed up with not having my character's size immersion.
I doubt that MPM even has an API to make this possible, nor do I think Noppes would ever add one for this purpose. This is an Aesthetic Mod, and to allow any form of changing it from that would be against Noppes wishes. :\

Frelling boll yotz! I've had enough about hearing this. Guess I'll do it myself at some point. So what will I need to change and do?
EDIT: Look, at this point I'm just asking what .class file to edit/mod in 1.7.10 and 1.8.8-1.8.9. Since I play in SP only it's enough for me to edit the core/default player hitbox to whatever I've set my character to look. Please, you can help me with that at least and can both call it a day.
But to modify another person's mod without permission is wrong, and in some cases even illegal. It's not yours to modify or alter and you'd need explicit permission to do so.
Whether or not you're tired of hearing it or not, this is the way it is.
Of course you are welcome to create your own mod similar to MPM and modify it's hit-box within your own. That's not against any rules or what-not anywhere.
EDIT: Without personal permission from Noppes himself to modify HIS mod, you will get no help to modify it. It's as simple as that.
I suggest you either wait patiently to see if Noppes will step in and allow you to modify his mod, or take me for my word and accept that altering it any way is just not allowed. At least in the manner that you're wanting to do.
Regardless of whether you only play SP or not, isn't the issue here. It's the fact that it isn't yours to decide how it will work and function. I'm sorry.

I'll just drop this here, not that I don't believe in checking things author wise (which one should as safe practice) but it will probably be useful or may even help solve things here as long as it's read.
If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.

Its not actually easy to change the hitbox. Its not a simple "edit a .class file" to make it work.
But hey if you want to try Im not against sharing my source code. Though you have a weird way of asking I must say -.-'

Really now, Noppes? I apologize for just barging in like this, but I have coveted your MPM source code for a small while... I have been unable to find it on the internet though.
You see, I am assisting in updating a mod that has been dead for a while now known as Improved First Person View. However, I think that making that mod compatible with yours would be a worthwhile endeavor... Well, for me, at least. I really appreciate the effort that went into this mod, and I also enjoy using the mod I am helping update. Well, I used to enjoy using it back in 1.6.4 XD
So, with that in mind, would it be alright if I took a look at your source code for MPM? If I actually manage to make something useful out of it that other people want, I assure you I won't release or share it without your permission.

The source isnt public yes. There have been too many questions to restrict features for certain players so that only paying players can use them. Id rather not have this become a pay to use mod on servers.
I dont mind handing out the source privately though. For which version of minecraft do you want to try it for?
Eh. I was talking about editing a .class file in core minecraft.jar where the default hitbox is.. somewhere. Should've clarified that in my edit of my post.
Not too sure but I think youll need to edit the PlayerEntity constructor and add a setSize to it with your sizes and change in the wakeUpPlayer and preparePlayerSpawn functions and change the setSize there too.

Alright, I appreciate that. Thanks, Noppes. I would like the source for the 1.7.10 version if you don't mind...

So, is there any news of a bushy type tail/canine tail coming into the mod any time soon? I could have sworn I heard about one a while ago but haven't heard or seen anything about it since. If not, I'm willing to give modelling one a shot, maybe even animating it if it'd be accepted.

I have no bushy model yet. So sure give it a shot. Im not sure how you would give animating a shot though?

I saw a tail mod ages ago and it had unique animations per tail. Though that depends on your definition of
"don't think there is a way for you to animate it", as per lacking tools or lacking skill. Neither would offend in this case.
Yes. Ill have to animate it in the code. There are no tools for this as far as I know
