I put the compatibility mode option on no, and the resizing I'd done took affect on my model despite the fact that I have optifine. So my question is, why doesn't this affect extra parts like ears, tails etc., and could it be the starting point for getting the extra parts through optifines odd incompatibility (thats if it decides to persist)?
For the scaling I need to directly edit the player model to allow it to stretch. The other parts are just pasted on existing parts.
With the compatiblity I just disable the changes Ive made to the player model hence hopefully allowing other model editing mods to work. Most animations will also be disabled when you turn on compatiblity.

Awesome :3

My avatar is a two tailed fox named Miles "Tails" Prower. He may only be 8 years old,but he is a highly skilled engineer. He stands 2'7" tall, and can use his tails to fly short distances, and run at near supersonic speeds.
In case no one else has posted about this, I'm having trouble with changing models. The mod I am trying to work with the most right now is Mo Creatures. When I change to one of the animals, I'm invisible and they also don't always move correctly. It's like...half of the models show up and half of them don't and with the ones that do show up, half of those don't move LOL. Oh, and it crosses over with Custom Npcs, too. I assume it's either something I've done or it's just a compatibility issue that will eventually be fixed by updates? None of this is keeping me from using these mods, though. :3
Do you know when the final 1.8 version will be out? Awesome mod btw it's very nice combined to the lord of the rings mod.
I think Im nearly done fixing all bugs 1.8 introduced because of their rendering rewrite. Now Im probably going to add some more model parts and such. The mod itself is stable though. But I cant say when it will go out of beta. If I had to guess it will happen before 1.9 releases

Hmm no clue why that would happen. Ill look into it later, not really a priority right now though.

Noppes there's issues with the 2 tails, they aren't being saved properly and other players aren't able to see them.

Don't know if this has been said or not but when you change the height of the player (or switch to dwarf model) you don't hit blocks as you would normally. Its like when you are taller or shorter the block that is broken is the one that you would be looking at if you were your normal height. It is possible that the version in the mod pack I am using is outdated and that this has been fixed and if so please tell me.
EDIT: Never mind I got latest version and it is fixed.
Im using 1.8 and the mermaid tail is not working can i have an explaination on how it works
Mermaid tail only appears when you enter the water.

Am I the only one having an issue with getting the mod to pick up my player 'bits'?
I'm stuck using Alex as the base texture and it won't even show the default textures on the ears/snout/tail/etc.
I've edited up my player texture and saved it, but nada. It shows the texture itself, but won't display ears or anything. I look weird without a snozzle. D:

By default textures, do you mean the non-player colors? The ones that let you choose to recolor it via the mod itself?
Also, are you sure you textured your skin properly?

It's worked before in 1.7. We don't still need to add the colored pixels to it, do we? I'm using the latest 1.8 release of MPM.
And the 'default' textures just means the ones you can recolor with sliders and such, Yes. I can't even get it to show the model for say, the cat tail, or dragon wings, or anything.
I didn't know if maybe it had something to do with being forced to use the Alex texture instead of the Steve one. *ponders*

Are you using Optifine? There have been reports that the 1.8 Beta version does not yet support/work with Optifine.
If you do have it installed, try uninstalling and seeing if that allows any of the models to appear on your character. Currently that is the only thing I am aware of that would stop any of the additional parts provided by the mod, from working properly.
If you do not have Optifine installed, or that does not resolve your issue. Please post a list of your installed Mods.

The tail appears now but I'm a merman in and out of water
Does this mean that the tail is displaying on land too, or is this your way of requesting it to always show?

Currently there is no way to add model parts yourself. Youll have to submit a techne/craftstudio or tabula model.

Will you ever re implament skinning? I hate having flat/ colored over head peices as they don't work with my skin
Im unsure what you mean. About 50% of the parts have the playertexture option, which will get the texture from your player skin.

Updated the mod and fixed your bugs also added the double tails. Its pattern number 2 when the normal tail is selected

Edit: 2 more bugs to report
1. If you sit while small you sink into the ground
2. The "Show Backitem" button doesn't seem to be operational, I can still see my sword on my back when its off

It's a purely aesthetic mod, by the way. The height won't count for anything.
AKA: The height won't be affected by blocks.
