I tried posting this request for help on the MCreator forum, but received no reply. So hoping someone here might be willing and able to help.
I am trying to help my son get MCreator working. We have my other son's computer going fine with it - and their two computers are identical. Yet, for some reason, with the first son's computer, we keep getting the following two errors. The errors happen immediately upon opening MCreator.
Instantaneously, right atop the open window the first error reads:
"It seems like you don't have internet conection. MCreator may not work as excepted!"
Then, we click "OK," and get this error:
"Can not connect to Pylo server. Some functions may not work! Error: class java.net.SocketException."
We have totally disabled our Norton Anti-Virus firewall and auto-protect while trying to open MCreator.
The computer is a PC, running Windows 7. On it we have installed.
- MCreator 1.6.4 (ended up copying all files from the other computer where they all had been installed properly, fully, and are working, because the file on the problem computer was missing components when installed directly);
- Java SE Development Kit 7 Update 51;
- Java 7 Update 51.
Both Javas do what they're supposed to on the CMD when we type the prompts java and javac.
We have spent about 7+ hours re-doing, double-checking, and researching to figure out why we're getting the errors, but to no avail.
