Technically I don't care about my players, it's for me and I host a server, but I will be filling the role of an op player. I am running a RPG/DND style game with a few friends and I have .mcfunctions that I call on during gameplay to add effects and help narrate or pause the story. Right now I have to access my datapacks by typing, or copy-and-pasting something like this into the chat window:
But I have been on servers where I, even as just a player, can type what looks like a core Mine Craft Function to get custom help menus to appear, or add scores to a scoreboard with just:
This would be really handy if I could set up my .mcfunction files to be accessed that way on my server for ease-of-use in live games. Speed is of the essence.
I'm assuming I would throw my .mcfunction and .json files into a main directory, but haven't looked for it.. and the googles, it does nothing! If I can do this with the datapacks I already have, great, I would just rather someone point me int he right direction before I start poking around in main directories.
