Hey, I am new to modification development and was wondering how to increase the players overall attack damage. For example: If you had an overall attack damage increase of 4, using you fist would be 5 attack damage (1 + 4), and a diamond sword would be 11 (7 + 4). Thanks!
Well one way is to handle events related to attacking. The LivingAttackEvent will allow you to adjust the damage. Just check that the attacking entity is the player and if so then adjust the damage amount.
