Now first don't tell to not use mcreator, it's the only thing that'll work on my computer. Its not that I'm not willing to learn, its because decompiling always fails on my laptop unless I eradicate all my profiles, all my minecraft and start all over, than do modding api download it will compile and work, but I don't want to do that. In the new version I can do custom code easily, so please don't say don't use mcreator k.
Now that's over with I'm wanting to create a new enchantment glow, 16 of them. Than instead of applying it visually to the item, I want to apply that colored glow on to a block in game as a transparency of 50% on all the blocks via by dropping said dye on to block, game sees it and attaches the color glow on to the block and removes the dropped dye. This is all I was wanting, so any help would be very much appreciative.
Idk about MC creator, but you’re probably looking at color blending. Which means doing open GL. I doubt you can get the same amount of freedom with layered block texture jsons (since you’d need to make one for every block that can be dyed).
I figured you guys used an external program that did that.
Short answer - you can't. Reason: you're using MCreator. If you want to do anything fancy at all, you can't use MCreator - it's as simple as that.
Again not helpful and second explained why I can't use anything else and lastly do you all forget it can be used as a workspace, so I wouldn't even have to say mcreator and could get help? I guess you do and don't think for yourselfs anymore, it's a sad world I guess.
If you can run MCreator, you can run an IDE. Why don't you post about getting help figuring out a solution to the issues you stated? Furthermore, why the hell would you want to use MCreator, knowing it's limitations, yet want to make a more complex mod and are willing to use MCreator's built-in environment to add such complexity? Makes absolutely no sense.
If you want to make a simple mod for personal use/for friends, you can use MCreator, nothing is stopping you. But if you want to add any sort of complexity to your mod (outside of the basics), learn how to program your own mods - it's not that hard to get started with the number of resources available.
