I can't fix the problem with my textures for my items not loading. The names from .lang file work ,but not the textures.
Taking the item "Essence" for example:

Edit:Nvm fixed it
I'm just getting started in 1.12 after modding for a years in 1.7.10 but could this be the issue:
private static void registerRender(Item item) { Minecraft.getMinecraft().getRenderItem().getItemModelMesher().register(item, 0, new ModelResourceLocation(item.getUnlocalizedName(), "inventory"));
What is working for me in 1.12 is this:
@Override public static void registerModels() { registerItemRenderer(this, "inventory") }
Looks like your registerRender code isn't being called. What's in your proxy.init() method? The ClientProxy should be calling ModItems.registerRenders
