Why so many plugins/mods don't have maven/gradle support? I want to learn minecraft modding, but everything what i want to use has dependencies which i have to manually put into my project... I use to more automatic way where it's done by gradle or maven, but a lot of plugins doesn't support it and i can't get it why they don't. I've even tried to download it with jitpack but there is always something breaking chain of dependencies at the very end e. g. bstats. :<
Yes though, I own a laptop (like everybody), pc with both windows and linux and pendrive with linux plus I tend to switch between eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA and I would like to not lose a few hours to configure it and I want to share it through github in a version which just compiles out of box.
Anyway I've already noticed that with actual state of spigot libs it is difficult and even spigotlib doesn't compile out of box. Some kind of automation can be achieved with maven local repo in gradle, which is enabled by default in maven tool, by manually putting jars to local maven repo (.m2 folder) and accessing them in pom or build.gradle with something like that
I haven't tested it yet but after putting wanted-jar to custom folder in .m2 folder it should work. Sadly enough, wget and curl doesn't work with spigot's pseudo repository because of their DDOS protection...
