incase you're a noob like me \n will begin a new line in the book itself, which is so handy. pity i didnt know it while creating 4 books with 30+ pages combined and a lot of extra spaces to push words on to new lines...

i started with the error "invalid book tag" which googling revealled was due to an overlong title. shortening it however has only caused the first word on each page to appear. its as if the first space in the page string breaks it.
edit: issue solved.
each page tag must start and end with \". eg:
new NBTTagString("\"text here\"");
or:
new NBTTagString(
"\"text here"
+ "more text"
+ "last line\"");
