Hey guys, i'm trying to make an ice wand and i successfully made it but i don't know how to place 3x3 packed ice blocks when you right click on the ground. I kinda want it to be a trap, and if you guys would send me a code, i would be happy.
Of course i know coding, that's how i made my Wand, the only thing is what i'm missing is that. And how about when someone gave the code to shoot fireballs huh?
Get the block right clicked and set it to ice. Then get the surrounding blocks for the 3x3 and set those to ice as well, then repeat for y +1 and then y + 2. Not that hard. I have no idea how Forge works (I only develop Spigot) but I'm sure Forge has a javadocs similar to Spigot that shows all of the methods and you can find which one handles the right click a block event. Check if the item in hand is your want and then do what I said above.
You need to simply do a triple for loop so each runs from -1 to 1 (each for loop is of 1 axis) than in the triple for loop do world.setBlockState(clickPos.add(new Vec3i(x, y, z)), yourBlock.getDefaultState()); (the x,y,z are values of the for loop)

How do you know he used MCreator? And i attempted to use mcreator to see how long it would take me and it takes longer to create the armour and recipes for it with mcreator than coding my own armour and it's recipes! So-o-o complicated, MCreator's interface. Hear this MCreators users, don't use it! Learn java, do the necessary setups and start coding! It's waaay easier to do it than what you think.
The fact that the code imports everything and has nonsense like if (true) { ... } (why use an if statement if the condition is always true?) makes it look like terrible auto-generated code, possibly from MCreator.

I am going to defend it for once. Yeah I know weird...
Sooo I have been watching how it develops as an application because I am intrigued by how an application can script code, and it is changing extremely fast. What you are talking about is most likely outdated. The Pylo team works 24/7 on it...

Not doing mc modding that much anymore because I am making a full blown game that does not have limitations that mc has. (rip Magiology for now)
I may come back if MC fixes it's rendering pipeline.

We do not give code to anybody.
You need to use onItemUse and simply call World#setBlockState
If you don't know how to do that I advise you to learn java or/and MC code. You can do that here http://lapissea.byethost8.com/LearnModding/

Here's my code.
Ok now since you are obviusly using MCreator I would like you to read this

and after that use this to make your mod.

Exactly. I found the if(true)... only in mcreator so it's pretty much a dead giveaway.
