I've been studying up on making mobs in 1.8, but would want to eventually move it to 1.9 after it releases (and after Forge updates). So my question is: does anybody know if coding for mobs is significantly different from 1.8 to 1.9?
Basically, I don't want to get neck deep into this only to find out the code has been completely overhauled in the next update. I'm aware of the sweeping changes going from 1.7 to 1.8, and I know Resource Packs are being improved in 1.9, but I haven't found anything regarding huge changes for mobs in 1.9, specifically. I imagine there will be plenty of changes in-and-of-itself; I'm just worried about having to start from scratch.
