Make sure you make a path exception too. And do gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse to do 2 commands at once instead of having to setup one and do the other.
I mean there is also another thing you need to add other than JAVA_HOME. You need to add another one called Path and with Path you need to have the same location as JAVA_HOME except you need to enter bin at the end because its reading your bin not just your jdk folder but your bin folder inside of jdk as well. Open cmd and type in javac. If theres a whole bunch of words and numbers, it worked. If it says its not reconised, it didnt work.
No heres a good idea. Go to your other computer and setup the files. After that, you use a usb and put all the files in. And then put in in your computer that your having problem right now. Then install eclipse and your done!
For me, I had to run set JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk.... etc. in the cmd window first for it to work... not really sure why it didn't work when I set it in the environment variables, but that solved it.
I made the workspace on my other computer and transferred it to the one i couldn't create the workspace on, opened up eclipse and there was nothing in the project explorer.
Also when i type in "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace eclipse", now i get this error:
Hello,
When i was using gradlew eclipse in a command window i got this error:
Error
Can Somebody Help?
Wrong section. Anyway, you have to install a java development kit and make sure the JAVA_HOME environment variable points to its directory.
I realized its in the wrong section and when i set the JAVA_HOME, in the main jdk, i get this error:
New Error
Did you use setupDecompWorkspace first?

When I type in "gradlew setupDecompWorkspace" I get this error:
Error
This all started when i set the JAVA_HOME and set it to the path.
Is there anybody out there who knows the problem?

Call me stupid but what do you mean by "path exception"?
afaik it is an antivirus problem... try disabling your antivirus to do gradlew setupDecompWorkspace and then gradlew eclipse
sorry for my bad english I'm Italian

thevigamerpixer2 normally the JAVA_HOME and the path variables are automatically configured when you install jre and jdk

No. Actually for me and almost everyone, you have to do it manually
I set the path already to the main jdk's bin
try disabling your antivirus to do gradlew setupDecompWorkspace and then gradlew eclipse
a friend of mine had the same problem and this resolved it
sorry for my bad english I'm Italian
I just did that and it had the same error, I've done it on my other computer and it worked perfectly, but there is no antivirus on that
Hm... Its kind of like mine... I couldnt do it on one computer so I had to do it on another...
So if you can do it on your other computer, use your other computer.
I was wondering if I should uninstall and reinstall my JDK and see what happens
