I have a question about something I've been trying to figure out after a long time, how can I spawn Entities while wearing a full set of Armor? I have a Tick Handler set up, but it doesn't seem to be working, Here are my Classes I'm using:
this.tasks.addTask(7, new EntityAILeapAtTarget(this, 0.3F));
this.tasks.addTask(1, new EntityAIAttackOnCollide(this, 1.0D, true));
this.tasks.addTask(2, new EntityAIMoveTowardsTarget(this, 0.3D, 32.0F));
this.tasks.addTask(3, new EntityAIMoveThroughVillage(this, 0.6D, true));
this.tasks.addTask(4, new EntityAIMoveTowardsRestriction(this, 1.0D));
this.tasks.addTask(7, new EntityAIWatchClosest(this, EntityPlayer.class, 6.0F));
this.tasks.addTask(8, new EntityAILookIdle(this));
this.tasks.addTask(11, new EntityAIWatchClosest(this, EntityPlayer.class, 10.0F));
this.targetTasks.addTask(3, new EntityAINearestAttackableTarget(this, EntityLiving.class, 0, false, true, IMob.mobSelector));
I don't know if I can fix your problem, but I might be able to narrow your problem down with a few questions.
Do the minions spawn just fine with a spawn egg?
Does the armor work in all ways except summoning?
if the answer to these questions is yes, the problem is likely with your event. I haven't had much success with tick events, but that is probably because I don't understand them. See if the event works with "System.out.println." If not, test your code with some other events to see if it is your code, or the event type that is the problem.
Thanks for contributing to this Mod's Success, as always.
The Item class has the onArmorTick() method, it would be better to use that as it will only tick players wearing your armour. Tick handlers are registered as events, the problem was that you were registering your tick handler on the wrong bus. There are four buses:
The Forge event bus
The Forge terraingen bus
The Forge oregen bus
The FML bus
Eventhandlers will not be fired if they are subscribed to the wrong bus. In your case the tickhandler wan't firing because it wasn't subscribed to the FML bus.

Quick Question. I decided to make the Minion spawned from the Armor a Ranged Mob, but, how would I increase the Fire Radius of the Mob? As it is, the Mob will just inch closer to the Target very slowly, and not shoot a Fireball. Here is the Two Methods I use btw:
