Alright. I'm really bad at things like this and I don't want to screw up my Minecraft at all.

You won't mess with your .minecraft files. If somehow a tutorial says to place your minecraft.jar. Go to another tutorial, because the minecraft.jar is downloaded from official Mojang mirrors. For following the, "Do not distribute". Do you want to see my modpack template?
