Survival Legends is my attempt at a perfect balance of technology, magic, building, and adventure mods. It is meant to be more than your average run of the mill kitchen sink modpack. Survival Legends has been well balanced, and is not overpowered, unlike some recent modpacks. This modpack takes inspiration from Survival Stories 3, Expedition, and other similar modpacks. I have put alot of time and passion into Survival Legends, so I hope you enjoy it!
If you have taken a glimpse at the mod list than you may be wondering why there is no Tinkers' Construct. One of the reasons is that it is such an overused mod that the absence of it helps add flair to Survival Legends. Furthermore when a modpack includes Tinkers' Construct most players use only that mod for tools. Without Tinkers' Construct the player is forced to use different tools from many diverse mods.
Custom Config:
Roguelike Dungeons, Druid Circles, Shrines from Astral Sorcery, and Aquamarine have been made significantly less common to encourage exploration.
Copper, Tin, Silver, Lead, and Nickel only naturally spawn in their Thermal Foundation equivalents. If you need their equivalents from other mods, than you can simply use the OreDictionaryConverter mod. Limestone and Marble from Chisel will not naturally spawn. To obtain Limestone, put Bone Blocks in the Compacter from Thermal Expansion. To obtain Marble, put Limestone in the Compacter. Furthermore Marble from both Astral Sorcery and ProjectRed Exploration will not spawn underground. To obtain Marble from Astral Sorcery, you can destroy Marble structures from Astral Sorcery or chisel the Marble from Chisel. To obtain Marble from ProjectRed Exploration, simply use OreDictionaryConverter with the Marble from Astral Sorcery.
Hunger Overhaul has been nerfed to allow the player to explore without to many hunger related obstacles, while still making the game more difficult.
Biomes have been made slightly larger.
Custom Crafting Recipes:
Fuel Pellets from Progressive Automation can now be crafted back into Coal by filling an entire crafting grid with them, excluding the middle.

Chisel & Bytes, Concrete, MalisisCore, MalisisDoors, RFTools, RFTools Control, StorageDrawersExtras, and Xtones has been added to Survival Legends. FTBLib, TESLA, and YABBA has been removed.
My suggestion is to remove some unneeded mods or just disable then with just mod.jar.disable
Pack has to be unique with its quest lines/story lines and/or custom recipes
Just try!
1. I would personally say it is small compared to other modpacks, but i'll try to trim off some of the unnecessary mods.
2. The only reason there are lots of updated is because it is in development and is not available for the public anyway
3. I don't see how it is hardcore, but I actually plan on making it more difficult with craftweakers and other mods
4. I'm trying to make it as unique as possible, but there are just so many kitchen sink modpacks.

Answer on #3. I cant see how you cant see that there is 1 hardcore mod WHICH IS HORRIBLE and that is Spice of Life. It literally will make your life burn in deeps of hell. What is point of exploring or building if you need like full inventory of food? I dont really get why you added that. You can add like 5 HP bars, you can add like Thirst
BUT FOOD is one thing you cant control ;-; it is hellish mod
Answer on #4. You can make it unique as I said with Quests/Story lines you have to follow. Not many modpacks offer good stories or quests. You can add them and work for them in version 2 of the pack
Myself in my 1.7.10 Modpack Haxxocraft: Reborn I am making it unique by Book Store not like store where you buy books but HQM Book Store :D. There will be tabs like Music Shop, Library and Blacksmith but that is a lil' too much spoiler
Also custom crops, items and maybe soon blocks and custom mods. Who knows

You have opened my eyes to why Survival Stories 3 did not have The Spice of Life, thank you.
I really like the idea of a questing system, but I don't know how I could add that without betraying the modpacks this is inspired by.

Steve's Factory Manager Reborn has replaced RFTools and RFTools Control. FlatBedrock, Hunger Persistance, and Journeymap has been removed from the modpack. Default World Generator and Xaero's Minimap has been added.
One thing I dont understand: How does the Steves FM replaces RFTools...
JourneyMap is dependant on lag, it has to render mobs on the map.
Also from PR 2:
Morpheus is a server-side sleep-vote addon.
Wawla and Waila Features dont do anything but help Waila
Mouse Tweaks is a good mod, unlike minecraft where you have to click and drag you can shift click into Crafting Bench...
I mean removing those mods wouldnt make sense but RFTools is dimensional mod which is prty neat where Steves FM is automation mod
RFTools and RFTools Control was originally meant to be a substitution for Steve's Factory Manager Reborn (Mainly Control). But than I discovered Steve's Factory Manager Reborn and so there was no point to having the original substitution, especially since RFTools is kind of op.
Morphues I've personally never cared for, since there are tons of plugins that do the same thing.
I removed Wawla and Waila Features because they're a little unnecessary.
I removed Mouse Tweaks, because I can never see myself taking advantage of it.
Hmmm... Makes sense. RFTools, ok it is pretty OP mod. Wawla I dont actually see, unnecessary, I mean it adds more Waila support, I have onw suggestion:
As you have Steves FM, maybe if there is update to Steves Workshop add it too.It is everything Mid-game you ever want, smelting, crafting and more in one.
This pack might be the first 1.10/1.11 Pack I enjoy and I will recommend this pack to people if I can
I think you should add Mouse Tweaks and Wawla back and if YOU dont like it, maybe others like me like it. Just add .disable to Mouse_tweaks.jar.disable

Engineer's Workshop is a great replacement for Steve's Worshop.
I will definitely consider adding back Wawla and Mouse Tweaks.

As of this update, Survival Legends will no longer be available on the Technic Platform, mainly because it is high maintenance having the modpack on both platforms and I have had no support on the Technic Platform. Because of this Xaero's Minimap has been replaced with Journeymap. Furthemore, Astral Sorcery and BetterFPS has been added.
