seeds gotta start somewhere. i'm not trying to argue. but digging for 10 minutes and running out of flint for my pickaxe cause i'm stuck in some kind of mountain of stone...
take a look at journey to the core at duncan's channel. lewis raged about it after they used the teleporter which explains maybe that he created a 2nd world with the same spawn... idk how but that's what he raged about.
Yogscast copied the whole world including the re-rolled seed. That's how they continued to play the exact same map. They would have to provide you with the world folder in order for you to get the same seed. As for being stuck in a mountain of stone, that's actually a good thing when it comes to mob defense. If you need to find a way out, try looking for the glowing mushrooms on your minimap that spawn on top of water.
I was a little ways in and a giant gorge just appeared in my base. Its taken out half the room, and when I look down the gorge it looks like it is still growing. is my base in danger, should I move away?
oxygen and torches. how does these things work in this pack?
Good question.
So torches - the torch can be very useful.
you can wear it as a helmet to light up your way or catch it in your hand. secondly the torch fire spreads so if you place the torch close to something flammable trust me its gonna catch fire and get destroyed also to many torches in an area will lower your oxygen dramatically so dont place to many torches every where.
Hint: If you place a glass block and a torch in a crafting table (Glass on top and torch below) you can make a lantern and not worry about the oxygen level going down nor the fire spreading anywhere.
And Oxygen - So there is an Oxygen bar on the top right of the ui. just keep an eye on it so that it does not go down. remember plants and trees bring your oxygen up. So items that brings your Oxygen on top are mushrooms, saplings, leaves(vanilla leaves only) later on in the game there are better items to help you out but I feel the leaves are the best option.
Hint: use Mushrooms for the starting as they are easy to find and plop down when ever you need that extra breath of Oxygen.
smart moving and smart render. what do those do? i'm using the atlauncher program for this. can choose mods to install. does they have something to do with slower moving? fps vise?

They are mods that allow the player to climb, crawl, dive, hang from certain blocks on the ceiling.
This video has a good tutorial of how the mod works and I recommend checking it out:
It won't affect performance. You may notice, depending on your movement, hunger going down slightly faster. It is optional since some players prefer not to have it when they play

Seems you have been hit by a earthquake! Now that it has happened, outside of the fact that you now have a giant opening into your base, you are fairly safe as the chances of one much less two earthquakes running through your base is pretty small,.
does the pickaxe only get stronger with digging? i know stuff usually takes a long time.. np. but can i use tool station to imbue it with something that makes it dig forexample iron? it basically the only thing i need now to progress.

You can upgrade the pickaxe by digging yes but materials do have their limit to what they can dig. For instance flint will never be able to reach obsidian level. The way to overcome this is to either make a brand new pickaxe using stronger materials or replacing just the pickaxe head with something better. There are no modifier items that will change the mining level (this includes the heads that say you can).
Hey so this is my first time posting on a forum ever. But anyways I love the pack and I'm in the nether right now on the quest Infracells Up! I have all the resonant energy cells and flux capacitors and I cant turn the quest in. Plz Help! They are all full of RF too.
Edit: Ok so i figured it out, for anyone else who might run into this problem. I crafted them using the transmutation table first and those didn't work. So I crafted them on a regular crafting table and it worked.
Looking to set up a small private dedicated server with this. In other HQM-style packs, there's been a specific world to use vs generation, and chat commands and such that had to be done for things to work correctly. I recall one even had me give clients a bedrock facade to new players (so they could hand it in for a QDS) of all things...
Do I have to do anything special like that with this pack?

Not at all. The pack should work the same as it does in single player without any fancy or confusing sets of instructions.
Hey, I haven't found anything on this anywhere I've looked so I'll ask here, is there special blocks that don't fall? Or is there a way to disable the falling thing? It's honestly extremely annoying and (Without a bucket, had to restart my world after it got curropted) I can't set up a farm without taking multiple hours to ensure the dirt doesn't fall into the water.

There are a few blocks that ignore gravity, but none of them are early game. Just focus on building supports to support your builds.

Thanks! From what I've seen, an absolute ton of care and thought has gone into this pack, and this is another indication of that. My compliments to you folks

Like I said, it would take multiple hours to do so, and I don't feel like doing that over after losing my last save. Additionally it's roughly every 2 spaces and then there needs to be a pillar, so there's no room in houses that aren't built small in the first place. (This is ignoring the fact that I would also have to build supports into the water to support it cause it falls into the water constantly)

honestly this games quest book teaches you everything you need to know about the pack. So I am just guessing here but I have a feeling that those blocks will reveal its self in the quest book later on. So just dont rage quit and find it for your self, its the learning experience that keeps the fun alive in this game.
