Need someone who has built finished packs before. I have a pack that is over 80% complete with a configs done. I have a server to even test on. I have having perm gen issues even though I have the client set to 6 gigs.
Replace the underlined with whatever you are using as the launch jar.. forge, bukkit, etc. The bolded text is where you would adjust the perm gen size, which I already did in this line The default it 128 or 256, so I bumped it to 512. I have to do this for all my modpacks.
The server runs fine. No issues. Its the client side thats crashing. And I can't figure out why. I can run a pack like monster fine. But this pack with only about 60-70 core mods apparently im running out of memory?!? I thought it was a single mod with a memory leak but when that got removed it works fine. adding in a different mod and i get another memory leak. I can't figure out what the issue is.

OHH! Sorry about that! Should have my glasses on when I read stuff lol What launcher are you using to play the pack with? Cause what Squeeks123 said should work :3 And single mods can cause massive memory leaks sometimes. One version I was using for a while of BoP had a massive leak that caused me to have framerates of 5 every 30 seconds, and I had to play with combinations of FML and BoP versions for DAYS before I got it stable. For the record if anyone has this issue as well- FML v1232 and BoP v1019 work wonderfully together. What I have to do sometimes to find the cause of a leak is remove all the mods, and re-add them in small bunches 3-4. This allows me to make note of which ones I add back, test, and continue. I had to do this with my Magitech Pack which has 110 mods x_x Worked though lol
Edit: ALSO. Make sure ALL your mods are up to date. Out of date mods are one of the number one causes of memory leaks and crashes.
Yea It seems to work now...I haven't done extensive testing yet. I did update all my mods. Idk must have been a bad release. They were all current to within 2 weeks so. IDK it works for now.
java -jar -Xms3G -Xmx6G -XX:PermSize=512m forge-1.7.10-10.13.2.1232-universal.jar nogui
