1, Well...Yeah, it is a manual download anyway so it's up to the players to install it or not.
2. Hmm, well I did see Brain Slimes only at Beach biomes...I think that's where they spawn, I never saw them spawn anywhere else. I dunno about NEI with that, people talk about chunk things with that mod, but I dunno. I'd just wrap the farm in glass with doors, should solve your slime problem.

Anyone else having this issue? I find it odd as I didn't update the pack or anything, didn't change anything from the version I was playing just fine earlier. (1.6.5) So I know it's something on my end. not the pack, because it wouldn't make any sense if it was the pack that didn't update from the working version.

I re-installed the pack, and now it works! (It says optifine isn't supported, but it works fine.) So if any of you guys have crash issues loading a world, re-install the pack, and if it still persists report it!

From the log it looks like your lycanites mobs config had become corrupted.
Well, when I re-installed the pack, it added a ton of mods like "Lycanite's Mobs Forest Mobs", "Demon Mobs", etc. so that's probably it.
But it works now and I kept my worlds so...Yeah.

Question: Why Better Storage Mod AND Iron Chest mod?
If a bit of storage redundancy is not a problem then "The Barrels Mod" is a really nice mod that is - imho - much better than JABBA, in terms of appearance, convenience and not providing over powered mechanics. It does barrels (single item mass storage) and it does them well.

Better warn peeps to empty out their better storage chests before upgrading then.
I spent the day playing with better storage and can say that the chests and lockers look pretty, but don't add nearly the same capacity as iron chests do. The armor stand is also provided by bibliocraft. The backpack - is there another mod that adds backpacks? And the storage crates have a low capacity per block and an annoying UI.
The only thing I might miss is Better Storage's Crafting Station, but Thaumcrafts inclusion means theres another crafting bench that holds its inventory.

Edit: Can't test the new version before release because I found out that the launcher replaces the Forge version...Every single time you boot it up, meaning that the updated version of Forge cannot be added into my version of it because the launcher reverts back to the old 1291 version every single time it boots up...Which is great for making sure the version is right, but not so great for testing. -.-

I run all my modpacks using the vanilla launcher. I just use ATLauncher / FTB / Technic etc. to download the mods and config folders
MultiMC makes it even easier (apparently) to import and then modify packs from the various launchers.
Hmm, okay then, I'll try running it in the modded profile on the default Minecraft launcher to test it then.
(I might keep up with this 1-week delay thing for not-so-urgent updates...Gives me more time to test it and make sure it's stable.)

Anyone else having this issue? I find it odd as I didn't update the pack or anything, didn't change anything from the version I was playing just fine earlier. (1.6.5) So I know it's something on my end. not the pack, because it wouldn't make any sense if it was the pack that didn't update from the working version.

I re-installed the pack, and now it works! (It says optifine isn't supported, but it works fine.) So if any of you guys have crash issues loading a world, re-install the pack, and if it still persists report it!

From the log it looks like your lycanites mobs config had become corrupted.
Well, when I re-installed the pack, it added a ton of mods like "Lycanite's Mobs Forest Mobs", "Demon Mobs", etc. so that's probably it.
But it works now and I kept my worlds so...Yeah.

Question: Why Better Storage Mod AND Iron Chest mod?
If a bit of storage redundancy is not a problem then "The Barrels Mod" is a really nice mod that is - imho - much better than JABBA, in terms of appearance, convenience and not providing over powered mechanics. It does barrels (single item mass storage) and it does them well.
Ah yes, the barrels mod, I will add that next update, and remove Better Storage next update as well.

Better warn peeps to empty out their better storage chests before upgrading then.
I spent the day playing with better storage and can say that the chests and lockers look pretty, but don't add nearly the same capacity as iron chests do. The armor stand is also provided by bibliocraft. The backpack - is there another mod that adds backpacks? And the storage crates have a low capacity per block and an annoying UI.
The only thing I might miss is Better Storage's Crafting Station, but Thaumcrafts inclusion means theres another crafting bench that holds its inventory.
There is another mod for backpacks simply called Backpacks mod: it adds in normal backpacks and big backpacks and even a crafting backpack

Now, obviously earlier I said that I'd do changes related to redundancy fixes and things like that...So, what do you think this "custom maps!" madness is?
Obviously "Updates" means mod updates, updating the versions of mods, usual stuff there.

Edit: Can't test the new version before release because I found out that the launcher replaces the Forge version...Every single time you boot it up, meaning that the updated version of Forge cannot be added into my version of it because the launcher reverts back to the old 1291 version every single time it boots up...Which is great for making sure the version is right, but not so great for testing. -.-

I run all my modpacks using the vanilla launcher. I just use ATLauncher / FTB / Technic etc. to download the mods and config folders
MultiMC makes it even easier (apparently) to import and then modify packs from the various launchers.
Hmm, okay then, I'll try running it in the modded profile on the default Minecraft launcher to test it then.
(I might keep up with this 1-week delay thing for not-so-urgent updates...Gives me more time to test it and make sure it's stable.)

Its obvious what the custom map means iv been seeing DarkMetAKnight post questions on the zelda sword skills page he is making a custom map to go along with the modpack
