Can you add a guide? I keep getting sticks, but I'm not able to choose my weapon or claim my reward, also I haven't found any towns
If you look under the 'future plans' section, none of that is implemented yet, and the HQM Quest Config is in heavy development. Once its done, the HQM quest book will act as a guide, yes I know that the quest is currently broken, and I'm working on fixing them.

I've gotten jumped by a couple mob I hadn't seen before (specifically Death Creeper and Gatling Archer) and paid the price, but I've got a house and a mining operation going. Looking forward to the quests getting fixed. Until then, WE BUILD!

I absolutely love it. I've tried other 'rpg' ones like Chroma Hills, or John Smith: Technician Remix, but I always end up going back to this one. I've spent a LOT of time modifying it to make it compatible with FTB, adding textures for Biomes O' Plenty, Metallurgy, etc :3

This seems like something I would like playing but why not move to the ATLauncher? It seems to be way better then Technic :? Just asking
I've never used that launcher, I actually hadn't heard of it until VERY recently. I'd rather not attempt to maintain more than one launcher, and I already have it setup on technic D:
I don't think so, but thank you! The server that I'm using the build the map on is somewhat unstable due to some mods still being in beta, so I'd rather not subject the general public to a finicky server.
I've noticed this doesn't have dynamic sword skills, I'm pretty sure that would work with the rpg vibe you're going for

ok here is the error. It happens when I hit the play button and it download/initializes the pack. I can't seem to get around it, even when I download it and put it in my folder separately.
Can you add the Hardcore Ender Expansion mod? It's really big though, IT MIGHT LAG.
I had thought about adding this, but there are already TONS of armor and weapons.. not to mention I haven't even implemented my own mod yet which adds more unique and magical swords and armor. I think once it's in beta (once the weapons are done, and the models and GUI's work), you'll be happy with what it adds. Thank you for the suggestion though

Haha yea, it can be a little unforgiving at times xD When I play it, I tend to make a hole in a mountain as a base immediately upon spawning to save myself from the infernal mobs lol. That's crazy though! You must have run into a Death Creeper! I personally turn off mob griefing, but that's just because I hate re-building (I'm a slow builder- took me 3-4 hours last night to hallow out and decorate a 20x20x8 room for my Blood Altar. 100% worth it though lol) xD
Chromaticraft as far as I know doesn't have a wiki. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I watched the 30min video, and read this-- https://sites.google.com/site/reikasminecraft/chromaticraft and I've at least managed to craft a few cool and helpful things so far, but not sure how to setup the multiblock alter quite yet. I might experiment in creative later to see how to do it. It's still very much in beta though (some of the models don't even have their textures yet) so we might just have to wait D:
The questing is SLOWLY getting fixed/implemented. In the latest update I believe I fixed the 'Weapon of Choice' quest, and added HQM quests to the 'Blade' line when it's chosen/unlocked. This will reward you with a pre-enchanted custom named blade of your choice for each tier of the quest completed. (Btw, I purposely made the quests not too hard to do- if you've played it, you know how dangerous this world can be without good offense and defense xD)
I'm going to try my best to get the beta version of my mod (Gemworks) out by the end of next week/next weekend, which is a very ambitious goal. The recipes might just need to be default crafting grid ones until I can:
1) Figure out how to import Techne models
2) Figure out how to code a multi-input GUI
and
3) Code recipes for that multi-input GUI

Huh.. that's really weird. I did some research and it looks like for whatever reason that file is no longer available on minecraft.net. Many people attempting to download 1.7.10 packs are getting the same issue as of yesterday. There is a solution posted in this thread:

ok that post helped. I did need both the akka and the config files for it to work. Hope you can get that fixed or maybe post the fix in the OP so your next ppl that try it won't have the same issue as I did.

I'll post it in the OP, thanks for letting me know it worked! Sadly, it's not something I can fix, as I have no control over how technic downloads files from the official minecraft website. Hopefully technic.net will have it fixed soon.
Unfortunately still no joy with the initial stick quest. Do I need to re-download the Modpack?
Odd. Nope, you shouldn't have to, it should have updated. I'll check to make sure I didn't overwrite the wrong config o_o; How does it behave currently? Is it the same non-functional behavior as before, or different? It MIGHT actually be working, you just may not think it is cause only one of those lines has quests in it right now. If you make the stick and turn it in, try picking the 'Blades' line and let me know if the other quests lock, and the new quest-line appears.. cause that's what it should do now that it's updated.
As far as I can tell, nothing is linked to the stick quest anymore that shouldn't be. I may change the orientation of the quests on the page later so that I can see the connection lines more clearly.. as it is the lines between 'Ranged' and 'Maces'(?) cross behind stick- but that shouldn't be connecting them to it.
Btw! How do you like the new logo on the Quest Book page? I could use some feedback (from anyone!) :3 Does it need more? Does it need less? Good color combo, or bad? I love comments.

I have NO idea what that is. There's nothing in the modpack that even remotely resembling that naming. Can you post a screenshot of the error?
