Great job with the modpack, much appreciated mate! I'm hoping to get Extra Bees, Ars Magica, and some mods for enhance the singleplayer experience, like Custom NPCs, or Minecraft Comes Alive! Thumbs Up and keep with the hard work!
PD: I'm asking for some mods politely, sorry if I don't sound so, I'm not English
Thank you (:
I will not currently add Extra Bees and/or Ars Magica 2. both mods are too unstable, and their creators arn't really working on 'em right now. both mods are awesome though, so that's unfortunate.
about singel player experience - eh, i'm not sure really what I can do with Custom NPCs, BUT, we have some Hardcore Questing Mod quests coming soon, so if you wish for special singel player experience this is what you may want.
it'll still take a bit more time though, I want the quests to be really finished.
It's just for people in singel player gettin' white screen, you don't need to do it. it's on the "known bugs" section.
you're asking how to update the your server from v0.4.8 to v0.5.0?
Yeah but I ended up just redownloading the server files and moved the world folder into the .5 version. Is that the way to do it, or is there another way.
Also I've noticed a bug with ender pouch from Ender Storage. Whenever someone uses the ender pouch their name tags- which come from some mod, not the vanilla tags - turn sideways and when I look in my inventory there are no items except for what is on my hotbar. This is all fixed though when the ender pouch is put away.

I know this bug, I noticed it too when I played the modpack.
I don't think there's anything I can do, because it's a mod's problem, but it's not that severe anyway
[*IMPORTANT: if you play in singel player, you need to upgrade your world with the server files so you won't get white screen. more information below.]
I dont know what you mean by upgrading it. The launcher asked if I wanted to update it, and I said yes, but it still gives me a white screen! :/ Other than that, I dont know how to upgrade my world with server files.

A better explanetion is in the "known bugs" section of the modpack's technic page
f you get a white screen after a modpack update in the singel player, the only way currently to fix it is to use the server files and through there you can fix your world. simply put your world with the server files and activate it, the console will ask you to delete the missing ids and you type /fml confirm. after the server finished, you can copy your world back to the singel player.
v0.5.1 is OUT! full changelog from the technic platform modpack page:
0.5.1 - You should update to this version if you don't want PneumaticCraft's plastic plants take over your world. also updated other mods, including the new Chisel 2 mod. (14 mods in total) (04/11). *IMPORTANT FOR SINGEL-PLAYER: because of the chisel mod changing you'll again need to update your singel player worlds with the server files. better explanation in the "known bugs" section. i'm sorry for this, and I hope we won't remove any mods soon so this won't happen in future updates.
Hello again. Sorry to bother, but i'm extremely confused.
You said put my world into the server files meaning put my SAVED files into where exactly? I dont see any server folders nor files in the 1710-modpack where all the files for this modpack is stored.
I included a screenshot of my folders for your pack. Hope it helps :/
So first of all, download the server files. they're located in the modpack page, here - http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/the-1710-pack.453902
after you downloaded them, you need to unrar them to a folder. after that, take your white-screen-save, and put it in the folder with the server files. be sure that you save folder is called "world" so the server will be able to locate it as the server's world. after that, hit the LaunchServer, set eula.txt to true, LaunchServer again, and then he'll ask you if you want to delete mismatch ids. you type in the console "/fml confirm". the console will load a bit more and then stop. when it's stops, you can type "/stop", and copy your fully working world back to the singel player

I don't think he was asking for multi-player explanation... I think he was asking what he were to do on a single-player world.
OK, if your in single player, basically all you need to do is edit the config id's a bit before going back in the world... i think that's right anyway... Otherwise I'm an idiot. Though I'd note this pack isn't even in version 1.0.0 yet, it's still WIP. Meaning, you should be expecting updates like this until it's in an official, stable version. Neither of us can help the fact that being before a stable version, the mod-pack will update often. Basically what I'm trying to say is, you can still use your old worlds, just beware of mods being added or removed that could effect your game, and if it does, your free to use an older version of the mod-pack if you haven't updated already. Sorry for this inconvenience, but I hope I helped in every way I can. I guess technically, in reality, if your on a single-player world, you don't have to do anything. -DP

Hello,
do you have a Tutorial "How to Update Modpack Server?"
Or can you tell me what i have to do for update my server from 0.4.8 to 0.5.1?
Thanks a lot!
Updating Server is not so complicated, i'll explain:
you need to switch the files with the newest download files.
when you download the server, you get 9 files & folders.
before you do anything, remember to backup the whole folder if any mistakes were made.
after that, delete 8 of the 9 files (every file except server.properties) and re-place it with the new download files, and Lauch!
remember to not touch any other files, like world (your save file) or eula. just delete the files that has been updated. 8 files.
everything should work Also guys the modpack has reached over 1,500 downloads!
It is a GREAT Modpack. My Friends and me have really fun with it ! THANKS!!!!
Happy to see
remember guys that for any problem or question with or about the pack you can publish it here and i'll help you!
also a new update coming up in Monday with the new versions or TE 4 & MFR!
Thank you (:
