Well, it's because we don't know if we should as the developer isn't updating it anymore for bug fixes. Meaning if there is a bug, or the modpack were to update to 1.8 in the far future (Which would be ironic since it's called the '1.7.10' mod-pack), we don't know if the modder would be able to do anything about it, or if we would be aloud to try and fix it ourselves with the code.

Found your thread here, am working on a mod pack of my own and wondering if you wanted to take what I have been able to throw together and take off with it? This way much of the foot-work has been done for you. Maybe collaborate (when you have time if interested. I know how family issues go) and get more bugs worked out.
Either way, I wish you luck and am interested in trying out your version if you continue your work. Here is a copy of our latest mod pack. As stated, either welcome to continue with it or tear it apart and use the configs for your mod pack.
P.S. Also have a working private server (which I own) so Multiplayer can and will be tested.

No, we cannot. As assuming your modpack has mods that require permissions, we do not have such permissions and we don't have the authority to use any mods that we don't have permission to use, weather you got the permissions from the modders or not. We realize you where offering to help, and we're happy that you are, but because of licensing issues, unless all the mods in the mod-pack were coded by you as well, we cannot take your mod-pack's mod list. - Darth Pikachu

Im using the technic launcher, and the mod pack shows up. However when I go to it and hit play it loads and then does nothing.
It does the same thing when I tried to use forge with the regular launcher, it loads but never starts the game. I don't know if this is from the same reason, just thought I would mention it anyways.

Hey man, im running a server for a few friends and myself, and I'm not seeing this information on how to update the server files.
It's just for people in singel player gettin' white screen, you don't need to do it. it's on the "known bugs" section.

Dedicated server, CPU 4.0 GHz with 16GB RAM, solid state hard drive and 95/95 Mbps up and down Fiber Optics. Client system matches server specs, with 1.7.10 Minecraft and 305 mods currently in beta. I state this not as much to boast, but for it to be known that it's possible to run with a LOT of mods, even build your own server without renting. I have some experience, so ask me questions.

No, we cannot. As assuming your modpack has mods that require permissions, we do not have such permissions and we don't have the authority to use any mods that we don't have permission to use, weather you got the permissions from the modders or not. We realize you where offering to help, and we're happy that you are, but because of licensing issues, unless all the mods in the mod-pack were coded by you as well, we cannot take your mod-pack's mod list. - Darth Pikachu

Fair enough, if anything my goal is to pass along configs, and the versions of the mods that are being used as to figure out how to add or change yours. If anything, it is for educational reason and I don't see anyone griping about that. If anything they want to make sure you arn't making money off of them, which I am not and I am in the process of asking the permissions as is. Again, just merely trying to help, not trying to get anyone in trouble just trying to pass along config info and such.... sorry to upset anyone if so.

I'm not upset, just trying to prevent a misunderstanding that's all. We really don't like (at least I don't, I don't know about Jon) to copy off of another mod-pack. Instead I'd rather it be an original idea. (I'm sorry to speak for Jon, but just know we don't mind you giving suggestions, but we can't accept mods without authorization.)

Sure I understand. Instead, would you just prefer a copy of the configs directory instead? That way no one can complain, and you can copy the configs for certain mods for y'alls pack. Again, just trying to promote sharing and caring and educational experiences.

Curse PremiumDid you give the pack enough RAM in the technic launcher? Most modpacks like this one need at least 2GB to even LAUNCH.
*I used 5gb of memory, did i should put more?( sorry my bad english, i'm brazilian)

Im using the technic launcher, and the mod pack shows up. However when I go to it and hit play it loads and then does nothing.
It does the same thing when I tried to use forge with the regular launcher, it loads but never starts the game. I don't know if this is from the same reason, just thought I would mention it anyways.
