After 12 years and a lot of life lived, I have finally updated Elemental Creepers to a recent version of Minecraft. It required (another) full rewrite of the mod which I used as an opportunity to improve the functionality of some of the elemental explosions.
Elemental Creepers adds 15 new kinds of creeper to Minecraft with various elemental explosion effects such as setting fire to everything nearby, zapping entities with lightning, or even being friendly and tamable to attack hostile mobs like wolves!
Changelog:
Elemental Creepers v4.0.0:
- Completely rewritten to support Minecraft 1.20.4
- Improved the explosions of various creepers such as the ice creeper, spider creeper, and water creeper.
- Improved friendly creepers with better baby model and a sit animation.
- Added a creative mode item tab for elemental creeper eggs.
- Moved spawn configuration to data json files.
- Added biome specific spawns, e.g. water creepers spawn more frequently on beaches. All creepers except magma creepers can still spawn with low-ish chances in the overworld, magma creepers are only found in the nether.
I am aware that 1.20.4 isn't the latest version of Minecraft, I will update the mod to 1.20.6 as soon as I can including porting some of the wolf improvements to friendly creepers.

Here are some cool elemental Creeper ideas:
Ice Creeper: It is light blue with some white and grayish spots in color, and when it detonates, ice blocks form around it, and hurts the player. It is found in the cold biomes and rarely in other biomes and underwater.
Fire Creeper: You are probably thinking it does the same thing as regular Creepers, but last time I checked, TNT (just like Creepers) explodes and eliminates blocks surrounding it, whereas fire, spreads and burn things to dust; the Fire Creeper is red with crimson and some brown and orange spots, and creates a blast of flame, burning all combustible objects around it, prior to explosion, also harming the player. They are found in forest and mushroom biomes where ther is a lot of flammable material, making it even more epic. Imagine making one of these mad in a woodland mansion! P.S. It wouldn't be a woodland mansion anymore! ;-)
I will make some more later. Goodbye!
Also I am not sure if you made any of these already. I am just making these up as I go and haven't checked out your website... yet.

I am attempting to upload the mod to other mod hosting sites currently, but while it is being approved you can find the latest release here: https://github.com/xSmallDeadGuyx/ElementalCreepers/releases
The mod requires Minecraft Forge and supports servers.

Welcome back, xSmallDeadGuyx!
I've said this in GitHub earlier but I'll try to ask here too I guess.
Just wondering, is it ok for me to fork Elemental Creepers to 1.12.2?
I know it's an old version but just wanted to let you know, at the time there were no ways to get in contact with you back in 2018-2019.
If anything, I'll try to ask for permission as well.
I am trying to understand why you ported it for such an odd version of Minecraft. Nearly all mods are for 1.20.1 (and I guess now for 1.21.1 too?)
mmm
It was on standby from 2018, so it wasn't made very recently.
Reason why I decided to reply now is smallguy at the time disappeared.
I apologize if I wasn't clear earlier.
