I've been really enjoying the mod so far, however, I've encountered one issue. Leaves are invisible? I have no clue why, it's not a big deal as it only affects the 'retro' world type.
Anyway, any help would be much appreciated, and keep up the great work!
Absolutely brilliant.
Better Than Adventure! 1.7.6.2 is out!
It's been a whille but we're finally ready to get our next update out the door! (friendly reminder to join our discord server if you're interested in trying out some development snapshots!) This update features a fun new isometric photo mode, controller support, lots of new blocks such as an overhaulled stone bricks (old variants have been renamed to polished stone bricks), and also dozens of bug fixes.
Check the full changelog above as usual and please submit any bug reports to our Github issues page, or on our discord!

I updated from 1.7.6.1 to 1.7.6.2 and my house completely changed looks. Not cool man.
so how do i make a mod for bta?
the newly-added "modloader" seems quite different from the original modloader (i expect that they are totally different though), but is there an example mod for setting up mods more easily?
Is this still being updated?
Yes, check discord.
And why exactly does everybody want to use Discord and not the forums anymore? This says it all:

Nope, not gonna register just to view something. TMCW will ALWAYS only be on the forums for as long as they are alive (if they close, well, then that's the end of TheMasterCaver, I've already been spending more and more of my former "social media/forums time" playing instead because they aren't active enough).
TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
It's more convenient for communication than forums, that's very simple (and almost correct) answer. Many projects that require user feedback uses it. It is also more convenient for project users as they can discuss project together with each other and share user-created content. And all these discussions are under active moderation and are conveniently separated into channels and branches.
Not registering somewhere for such reasons will not make the world better or developers happier. It only results with missing content for you
..
And everybody else who doesn't have an invite or hasn't found the link? That's one reason why public forums are so much better than a glorified PM site (I've never liked using PMs for the very reason that they are private; so somebody needs some help? I'd rather have it in the open where anybody else can see and/or reply to it). Besides, you still need someplace to post the links.
Besides, I'd never use this mod anyway, I only play with my own mods which are tailored for my very specific playstyle and preferences and only have a side interest in "Minecraft as it should have been" mods because I've made such a mod myself and have a similar view of newer features (this is a lot like how I watch YouTube videos for games that I've never played, just because I find them interesting to watch, or anybody who watches sports but doesn't play them).

Can you add use/attack to the Key binds?
Would this be compatible at all with other beta mods such as The Aether or Better Than Wolves? And if so, how would I go about doing that? I am using MultIMC to run this.
So you shouldn't have posted this from very start. BTA community has its preferred communication way, just like you have your preferred Minecraft modding content.
Appearantly it doesn't, go have a look in the official discord for more information
Like I said, these sort of mods and old versions in general interest me (I even post more on r/GoldenAgeMinecraft than here, even though again I'd never want to play Beta or earlier versions, all because the content there is much more relatable than modern Minecraft, which itself may as well be a totally different game, and unfortunately, nobody wants post on the forums or lead meaningful discussions anymore - this one right here is probably the longest online discussion I've had this year) - besides, the reason why I'm even subscribed to this thread is because I told the OP how this mod can be installed in the vanilla launcher, instead of forcing people to have to install another launcher (assuming they weren't already using MultiMC; another popular launcher for old versions is Betacraft, which fixes many of the issues they have):

How did you make the mod for this update?
Is there any possibility to add the accessibility option for subtitles like on newer versions of minecraft?
it isnt that important for most people i guess so i understand if it isnt really feasible for a while.
I've been playing this mod for a bit and I think it's great!
Only problem though the game keeps crashing on me after like 30 mins of playing, and when I log back in the world any blocks that I broke or placed is reset
I don't know if it's because of my system or something else entirely.
I'm using Manjaro Linux(KDE Plasma), Java 8, and the Multimc launcher.
This is the log that I get after it crashes:
If anyone can help me because it's getting pretty annoying
ok so i saw the video for the mod on youtube, decided "hey why not" and played it
as of now im LOVING IT, but there are some personal issues id like to address
1. you cant drag the blocks in crafting
ive been playing so much modern minecraft it just hurts
2. not stacking food
also the same issue as the first, but its bearable, annoying though.
3. beds are SO DIFFICULT TO CRAFT
it took me 10 minutes of browsing this page just to find the recipe and how to get cloth
other than these 3 (annoying) things im loving this mod so much
id like to see it keep updating
