This modification focuses mainly on making the game more difficult after reaching certain milestones.
It is inspired by the mechanics in Terraria. Difficulty also scales with Regional Difficulty to
keep Minecraft style. All ideas are welcome. This modification is in early stages of development and it is not finished yet.
The game progress is divided into three parts: Normal Mode, Expert Mode and Master Mode.
Normal Mode starts at the beginning of the game. Expert Mode starts when the first player enters Nether. Master Mode starts when you defeat the Ender Dragon.
Some of new mechanics:
Groups of enemies
Enemies appear in groups with one leader and
followers who attack the same target as the leader.
Followers are more likely to have weapons and leaders to have armors.
Undead Army(new Raid)
New raid which starts after killing certain amount of
undead at night. It has 3-5 waves, scales difficulty over time and rewards
player with treasure bag after finishing it. Also scales difficulty with each player participating in!
Treasure Bags
Bags which contain some extra loot.
Currently you can acquire Treasure Bags from: Undead Army, Elder Guardian, Wither, Ender Dragon and Fishing.
Each player receives their own Treasure Bag when they help to defeat raid/boss.
Bleeding
Each animal and human being can now bleed. This is an effect that deals damage similar to poison
and can be removed using a new item: Bandages. Bleeding is caused by many different sources such as
receiving sword damage, being bitten by a spider or by touching a cactus... It is important to keep
bandages with you at all times because bleeding becomes more deadly as the game progresses!
Normal Mode changes:
- Skeletons may spawn in groups (leader and 1-3 sidekicks)
- Zombies may spawn in groups (leader and 1-3 sidekicks)
- Creepers may spawn with negative effects (its explosion will leave area effect cloud)
- Creepers may spawn charged
- fall damage cause Slowness & Nausea
- killing a hundred undead at night will cause new raid to start: Undead Army
- Evokers always spawn with Totem Of Undying - Animals(like Wolves), Zombies and Spiders can bite you causing Bleeding - Arrows and direct damage from sharp items (tools, weapons, shears) also can cause Bleeding
- drowning damage cause Nausea & Weakness
- new aggressive mob Sky Keeper which spawn naturally near new structures
- Phantom may now spawn naturally near new structures
- you will receive a Fisherman Treasure Bag after every 30 items fished
- and touching Cactus also may cause Bleeding
Expert Mode changes:
+ 25% chance for double loot from enemies
+ 25% extra experience from any source
- enemies have 20% bonus to health & damage (doubled in night)
- Illusioner spawn naturally during the night
- Giant spawn naturally during the night
- new aggressive mob Pillager's Wolf which spawn naturally during the day
- Piglins may spawn in groups (leader and 1-3 sidekicks)
- Pillagers may spawn with wolves (leader and 2-4 wolves)
- Spiders have a chance to poison enemies
- Wither Skeletons always spawn with new item: Wither Sword
- new aggressive mob Elite Skeleton which spawn naturally during the night (skeleton which shoots faster, more precisely and its arrows may have potion effects)
- Undead Army now has 4 waves
- enemies spawned during Undead Army are twice as likely to have enchanted items
- Undead Army gives 100% more experience for completing it
- Bleeding II is now always applied instead of Bleeding I
- Drowned trident attacks may now spawn lightning bolt
- you will receive a Fisherman Treasure Bag after every 20 items fished (instead of 30)
Master Mode changes:
+ 50% extra chance for double loot from enemies (total 75%)
+ 25% extra experience from any source (total 50%)
- enemies have extra 20% bonus to health & damage (total 40%) (doubled in night)
- Undead Army now has 5 waves
- enemies spawned during Undead Army are twice as likely to have enchanted items (total x4)
- Undead Army gives 100% more experience for completing it (total 200%) - Bleeding III is now always applied instead of Bleeding II
- you will receive a Fisherman Treasure Bag after every 10 items fished (instead of 20)
Commands:
/gamestate - shows current mode /gamestate <mode> - changes the mode to given one (requires OP privileges) /undead_army stop - stops the raid at the player's location
All damage, health and loot bonuses affects enemies from other modifications. You can disable most of features using configuration file!
