RFP2 is a rewrite of the original RFPR, with many new features.
Configurable hotkeys to toggle mod features
Body now follows camera facing direction by default (can be toggled with hotkey)
Mod no longer changes F1 HUD toggle functionality
Near-instant startup of first person effect after logging in, teleportation, or respawn
Improved forge integration, including in-game config GUI
Improved compatibility options triggered by
New compatibility options in 1.2.0:
Cosmetic Armor Reworked integration
New Compatibility API for other mods to interact with RFP2
New compatibility in 1.2.2:
Morph mod support
This project started as a desire to replace the [F1] key functionality of the old mod with hotkeys for a mod pack I was building... but I ended up having a lot of fun with the code, and started digging deeper into forge... and things kinda spiraled out of control
A note on compatibility:
RFP2 uses the same core mechanisms as RFPR. It adds some new compatibility options, and some explicit compatibility checks for specific supported mods, but some things that didn't work with the original RFPR will not work with RFP2 either. The big improvements with RFP2 are in the hotkeys and config options. If you have any issues, please post about it on the github. Please include screenshots and a detailed list of what mods, items, and steps are needed to reproduce the problem, and I'll see if there is a good way to fix it.
I'm only planning on fixing bugs with the core functionality of RFP2 at first, to make sure that I have a solid foundation before I do anything else on top of it, so it will be a little while before I try to tackle any of these cross compatibility issues. That said I do plan on looking at them in the future.
Please post an issue on the github, that way I can track the compatibility requests and look in to them for future releases. Make sure to include screenshots of the problem, and a detailed list of the mods, items, and steps needed to reproduce it.
Any plans on making this for 1.14.2? I really love this mod but I love my foxes more!
Neither I nor any of my friends that I am maintaining this mod for play 1.14, nor do we have any plans of upgrading, so I currently do not plan to support 1.13 or 1.14. However, RFP2 is fully open source and I would be happy to accept pull requests for these versions if someone else is willing to do the port and maintain it.
