For some reason I cannot put the research book in the research station making the whole research inaccessible. I tried it on 2 different computers, 5 different maps, I removed all mod except Just Enough Items latest version so I could simply get the items right at the beginning to test it.
If somebody could help me, I would really appreciate.
You need to right click the book while holding it, in order to register yourself as researcher.
Once done, a text message will appear. After that you can put the book into the table.
Hi, I am not sure what is the issue, but after updating the mod today, the game crashes (modpack)
The older file worked just fine.
Edit: just in case - i also tried without Optifine, still crash.

I downloaded the newest version of ancient warfare 2 mod. The new buildings and new enemies is richer than before. So I can get my New HQ. LOL...
But the old buildings being remove. It is a shame. Trade system should be improved because I found that it is harder to find a Trade point than before. How about to make the bandit market back.
This mod is giving me lots of problems. The worst ones include my workers despawning pretty quickly, the drawbridges letting me fall through them once i step on the last half of their length, and the gates losing their opening/closing animation but still blocking or allowing passage (some of the gates even turn fully invisible sometimes).
Am using custom mob spawner mod, but with forced despawning set to false. Can this mod be provoking the despawning of my workers? The mod becomes basically unplayable if all my NPCs are useless

The gate problem happens for me too, seems to be as simple as unloading the chunk they're in. As for the drawbridges, I have a different problem: they don't work if placed facing south, east or west. North works fine, just the others don't, which is weird, as they should work in any direction.
Edit: Weird, after a little tweaking, the drawbridges suddenly work now, though that fall-through thing at the very end of the drawbridges is happening (only occasionally, and more often when not sprinting).
Hey! Awesome job with this mod, it's gotten way better since 1.7.10. It's one of my favorites so I'm glad I can put it in my 1.12.2 pack
Quick question, I was just wondering if trading was a thing in this mod? In the config you can change "faction standings" by killing NPCs or trading with them. Killing is straightforward enough, but I haven't seen any sign of traders. I thought it might have to do with the fact that just about everyone is hostile, so I changed starting values to be neutral/friendly in the config. Even after changing the config to make them all friendly, there doesn't seem to be anyone to trade with, just a bunch of soldiers.
This is fine of course - I don't really mind (the point is to kill everyone after all). But I'm just wondering if it is something in this mod right now or if it's just the groundwork for a future update.
hi i have a problem with npc. When I want to attack the castle of the empire or pirates, the opponents attack me and my npc do nothing when the opponents attack them, nothing happens, they just stand
I have installed in server 1.12.2 with other mods, i thing other towns (vailla,MCS, Minecolonies ) doesn't generate in overwold, how can i confiure AW2 to generate other towns with villagers?
Been trying out AW in combination with some other mods. I have to say it is fantastic. Only a couple of issues. The main issue is the animal farms. No matter what we do they kill all of the animals. No matter what it is set to keep. Am I missing something?
Ok, I figured it out. We had the corresponding food farm growing directly over the animal farm so the food would drop down without a courier. It interfered somehow.
@arel37 I think you'd want to be using a crop centred one not an animal farm one (it's been a while since I've used Ancient Warfare so forgive me if farmers NPCs or other means are needed to achieve them), as no animals eat beets and I think for pigs these blocks favors carrots over potatoes for breeding. I don't think there is any filters or configs you can use to change it either (as far as I remember).

I downloaded the newest version of ancient warfare 2 mod. The new buildings and new enemies is richer than before. So I can get my New HQ. LOL...
But the old buildings being remove. It is a shame. Trade system should be improved because I found that it is harder to find a Trade point than before. How about to make the bandit market back.
This mod is giving me lots of problems. The worst ones include my workers despawning pretty quickly, the drawbridges letting me fall through them once i step on the last half of their length, and the gates losing their opening/closing animation but still blocking or allowing passage (some of the gates even turn fully invisible sometimes).
Am using custom mob spawner mod, but with forced despawning set to false. Can this mod be provoking the despawning of my workers? The mod becomes basically unplayable if all my NPCs are useless
EDIT: Yet another problem: things like the Crop farm automation block do not work in claimed chunks from FTB Utilities mod.
EDIT2: Even with the deluxe chunk loader, the workers still despawn.
The gate problem happens for me too, seems to be as simple as unloading the chunk they're in. As for the drawbridges, I have a different problem: they don't work if placed facing south, east or west. North works fine, just the others don't, which is weird, as they should work in any direction.
Edit: Weird, after a little tweaking, the drawbridges suddenly work now, though that fall-through thing at the very end of the drawbridges is happening (only occasionally, and more often when not sprinting).

What can I do with civilians who are left in the buildings? I don't want to kill them, but I don't know if I can make them to be my workers.
Civilian can't be work. They are different kind of npc. I don't kill them and later they all run away. So I got an empty building.
Hey! Awesome job with this mod, it's gotten way better since 1.7.10. It's one of my favorites so I'm glad I can put it in my 1.12.2 pack
Quick question, I was just wondering if trading was a thing in this mod? In the config you can change "faction standings" by killing NPCs or trading with them. Killing is straightforward enough, but I haven't seen any sign of traders. I thought it might have to do with the fact that just about everyone is hostile, so I changed starting values to be neutral/friendly in the config. Even after changing the config to make them all friendly, there doesn't seem to be anyone to trade with, just a bunch of soldiers.
This is fine of course - I don't really mind (the point is to kill everyone after all). But I'm just wondering if it is something in this mod right now or if it's just the groundwork for a future update.

Been trying out AW in combination with some other mods. I have to say it is fantastic. Only a couple of issues. The main issue is the animal farms. No matter what we do they kill all of the animals. No matter what it is set to keep. Am I missing something?
Ok, I figured it out. We had the corresponding food farm growing directly over the animal farm so the food would drop down without a courier. It interfered somehow.
Is there a way to configure animal farms to allow beets and potatoes too?
@arel37 I think you'd want to be using a crop centred one not an animal farm one (it's been a while since I've used Ancient Warfare so forgive me if farmers NPCs or other means are needed to achieve them), as no animals eat beets and I think for pigs these blocks favors carrots over potatoes for breeding. I don't think there is any filters or configs you can use to change it either (as far as I remember).
