I keep coming back to this mod because I am so tempted to get rid of all of my mods and backport to 1.7.10 from 1.12.2 The urge is strong. Scotteh why do you have to make such a great mod
Hey Scotteh, at the begining of the video, at
, when you type 'american' there are a lot of armor type items like
'American Support Helmet (#4900)' that shows under 'Flan's mod Team
Stuff'. Can you tell us which modpack adds this? We are using the 0.15 modpack but it is not there.
The built-in auto update feature is not working properly and curseforge does not have the latest version of the jar.
It has been two releases where i download the latest version from curseforge and then when i launch the game, it says straight away to auto update.
The versioning sequence you have made up confuses me. I could understand 0.25.0-SNAPSHOT 0.25.1 and any other maven or linux based standards, but this 0.25f sounds pretty apocallyptic to me.
Now, after downloading the latest obsolote jar from curseforge and clicking 'update' on the game, the jar download fails. I have seen it happening twice at 20 mb and at 50mb when the jar is over 70mb. However, the game restarts and the Decimation.jar mod is not loaded.
Also, having jar files like Decimation.jar doesn't really help. maybe decimation-0.25.1.jar would make things easier. Are there methods in Classloader related to "protection domain" that can tell you what jar file a class is coming from? I would rather use that api to replace jars than asuming there is a file in the mods folder called Decimation.jar. If the built in update fails and any of the 9 million java developers around the world wants to update Decimation every second day, it can get pretty confusing having Decimation(2).jar in your downloads folder and no versioning info in the META-INF either.
With the built in auto-download, you need to add some sort of catch so if the download fails half way through, the game doesn't restart. maybe download it to the temp folder first and then move it to the mods folder (replacing the old decimation jar file) once the download has finished successfully and content-length matches file.size().

We have zombies to kill, please sort this out.
Not to say that the technic launcher update feature doesn't update properly either, says installed version 1.0.
