I have also submitted a help request to prevent the Zergling mobs from attacking Zombie Pigmen in the Nether. I was aware of this problem before uploading the update but didn't think it would be that bad of a problem. Now with Demon Vulpix's Nether spawn fixed (fixing the above problem), it makes the Nether way too difficult. c.c'
I'm guessing it's something to do with either Optifine or Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders. Now that I know it's not intentional, I'll probably look into SEUS since I suspect it's that.
Although, it's kind of nice being able to see him during the nighttime. During the day you barely notice it, haha.
The markings are supposed to glow but not the whole mob. Something is causing all the texture layers to glow.
Rendering is probably the most difficult part of modding (far harder than modeling and animating), to the point that I'd rather not even bother modding, and something like this I just don't have the time and patience to try and mess with to fix. I apologize for that.
I hope to release the update/patch to the mod tomorrow. The expected changelog is as follows:
Kindred Legacy Changelog
Version 1.1.1
------------------------------
New Content
~Added Clay Shinx full moon mob
~Added Anvil repair recipe
------------------------------
Changes/Adjustments
~Removed Zergling Nincada hostility to Zombie Pigmen
~Adjusted required distance to target ranges of all leap attack mobs
~Changed Snow Sorceress Braixen's Blaze Rod rare drop to Blaze Powder instead
~Decreased Voorst Mightyena's Blaze Rod rare drop chance
------------------------------
Other
~Fixed Nether spawns
---------------------------------
I created a new block that lets Poketamables freely pass through it but not other mobs. It has a very finicky performance right now, so I pulled it from this next update. I'd rather give it time to see how it performs in my personal game before putting it in the field.
Also, something I am poking at because I have the Pokemon on the mind due to some stuff I'm doing in my freelance work. I dunno if it will become anything in the end:
My adventuring in my personal game has taken me more into the Nether to find the Vanilla content much, much harder than it used to be. To put in perspective, in 1.7.10 (before Demon Vuplix's spawns were rewritten to apply to all parts of the Nether) I could fairly easily wander around the place with just a stone sword, basic bow, and no armor (Ghasts, Blazes, Wither Skeletons, Zombie Flareons, Verktora Mightyenas, and Grenade Togepis were not that much of a threat). Now in 1.11.2 I get destroyed despite my mixture of vanilla Iron/Diamond/Enchanted gear.
I'll think about exploring some options to better balance the Nether in respect to my mod's content. The Bow of Kindred helps but I don't want that to be the player's only good option.

ABSOL! I love that guy! Looking forward to the update.
(maybe post the download as a notification( because i never find the mcforums download link when they come out))
I'll try and remember to do so. But I can be a bit bad at remembering to do simple things. ^^;
-----------------------------------
Yes, this is what it looks like:
No promises on this making it into the mod. It may suffer the same fate as Kyubimon Ninetales did. This Absol feels a bit too simple but I have to remind myself I don't have to make everything so complicated or drastically different from the original Pokemon.
The update, or patch it might be called, is now officially posted to Curse Forge. Just need to wait for approval which doesn't seem to take too long anyways.
This should help make the Nether a bit more manageable without angry Pigmen all over you all the time.
(if you are savvy enough to read this, the top four graphs are the finished solutions I needed)
Yes, this is what animating at the level this mod is at has been like. No fancy programs. Just creating the hard math to make it all happen.
With what I made here, I believe I can make the most advanced mob models ever seen in Minecraft. I decided that because how simple it is and what I want to do with it, I picked Feywood Absol to be the first mob to utilize this concept I've wanted to try for many months now. Even if this does work, very few mobs will be given this feature because they normally never need it. However what I want to do with this Absol will have such a need.
..... I just discovered my "Support Banner" link is broken/doesn't work. I fixed that now in the original post for anyone using that banner. ^^; I appreciate everyone's support using it.
The change log so far for the next update:
Kindred Legacy Changelog
Version 1.1.2
------------------------------
New Content
~Added Pokeraser creative mode item
~Added Substitute Doll creative mode mob
~Added Raw Spice Melange item
~Added Curaga Essence item
~Added Inferno Fuel Rod item
~Added Armored Luxray mini-boss mob (pending)
------------------------------
Changes/Adjustments
~Changed recipe for Attack Orderer
~Increased Mini-Boss Blessing of Arceus drop chance
~Decreased Okami Poketamables' range
~Changed Crackling Nincada's drops and drop rates
Feywood Absol will not be released for a while. I work on it now and then but it's too large of a project for me to spend large amounts of time. The math I showed above is very finicky and doesn't work well as is because I don't grasp how Minecraft handles certain motions. So I think I will be setting that math aside for now.
I also just read that Galacticraft for 1.11.2 will soon be release. I am VERY excited for this as its one of my favorite mods. The final unreleased version of PokemonMD actually had Galacticraft integration in it. There was an Essence item that let your Poketamables survive in space.
I left a post asking if there would be an easy way to get mobs from my mod to spawn on Galacricraft worlds. If that option is there, you can bet I will be all over that with getting compatibility built into Kindred Legacy. After all, being everywhere is what the Zerg do, no? Unless you are very familiar with Okami, me wanting to put the Clay Army on the Moon too for this might seem a bit random but it isn't. Galacricraft is also a very strong incentive to bring back Mystic Tech content like Zealot Pawniard, Cuotl Ekans, Prototurret, and Tiberium Growlithe and continue discontinued content like Tempest Vikavolt.
It won't be implemented for a long time. At least not the Mega form. It is an enormously complicated model to implement, more so than Bloodmoon Ninetales (without her action animations). I think I will go ahead and release the regular form as is in the next update.
After 4+ years, I have successfully learned how to create a config file! So people remind me what you all were wanting in it. I have custom spawn rates and the ability to turn off mob hostility towards vanilla mobs in it right now but I don't remember anything beyond that. Custom spawn locations are not really feasible right now because of how complicated they are set up for Kindred Legacy.
config idea : turning mob spawns totally on or off (because some mobs are just annoying to fight)
also i'd like the mobs from the 1.7.10 get implemented in the 1.11.2 version (like the Cuotl Ekans, the doom stones, proxy pylon carbink, Tiberium Growlithe and the zombies)

i've been thinking about the mods animations
is it possible that i make a model (i use mcanimator) and texture, and you could animate it and make a mod out of it
the mob would be a pet mob that drops magenta dye, it would be dragon like, have no fall damage (float like the chikens),
being able to fly and has a command item(for attack)
would that be possible???

Nah, I don't accept requests to do other mobs for people or even for my own mod. Sorry. ^^;
ok i just have crazy ideas
