If that is the "Beta 1.0" version listed at the bottom of the OP that is not a version for Minecraft Beta 1.0 but an earlier version of the mod (I assume, it seems it was only made for 1.7.10):
Version beta 1.0 for minecraft 1.7.10
Version 1.0 RC3 for minecraft 1.7.10
This is what happens when you use AdFly, which was extremely popular back in the day, despite the number of complaints about it (gotta make that money, you know, despite the EULA saying you can't make money off of mods, either now or back then). It doesn't help either that the links expire and become redirects to completely unrelated content.
Somebody did post a direct link (just a few posts back) for an older version of the mod (the "beta 1.0" version):
Is this still being worked on in 2024? Please, let me know. 🙂
The creator hasn't been online since 2019 and last posted an update in 2017, saying that they would update it to a newer game version (which to me defeats the entire purpose of an "alternative development path mod", if I updated TMCW to a newer version it would only before e.g. the ability to use modern OpenGL rendering/LWJGL3, with the entire Minecraft codebase otherwise replaced (no BlockPos, IBlockState, 200 MB/s of allocation, excessive code abstraction/encapsulation / 1000+ extra classes for no good reason, etc (TMCW can actually run with less than 100 MB allocated and is still smaller than the vanilla 1.8 jar despite adding far more content over 1.6.4), or features like Mending, elytra, a general attack cooldown and armor penetration, overly realistic terrain and biome placement, etc. And all in all, way too much work for no personal benefit, given that TMCW has already modified or added more code than the vanilla version it modified, and a known fix for a graphical issue on newer Intel drivers is due to an easy to fix bug within the game itself, an issue with AMD drivers seems to be an issue with the driver itself):
Somebody more recently claimed they are continuing it (post #78), but unfortunately, on that dreaded site so it may as well not exist (I long so much for the days before that site destroyed the public internet, I dislike private messages asking for modding help for the same reason and have made a point to no longer respond to them, worse when they directly ask me if I have a d****** (the last person to message me that hasn't even been on the forums since they sent it so they obviously wanted me to go there without waiting for my reply) - this information should be freely available, else how is anybody else ever going to find it? Impossible to find good modding tutorials for the same reason, "just ask on d******" is all anybody says, worse when actual mods are hosted there).
I would host my mod on here if the mod had been in its released state. We currently have multiple playtesters pushing feedback and suggestions so we don't release an unfinished product.
Why not announce a mod even if it's unfinished? I've thought of putting it out on the WIP modification section, but I really don't like the pressure of multiple people (not even having access to the mod yet) waiting on me to release it in some way or another. Sooner or later I will publicly release it, and announcing that here will be one of the first priorities for me.
I appreciate your honesty about open information, and I completely agree on what you say about it. But personally I use *that* platform for easier reach and contact (I wouldn't like to go by the old school PM system on here every time I want to talk about a feature).
If you or any others seeing this post want to ask about or playtest the project without using D****** please private message me on this platform. I check this site semi frequently and usually only lurk around, but I will definitely reply to your PM.
I'm late by quite some years, but really excited and curious about the pipe organ thing: did you change the sounds with a texture / data pack? And do you still have a download of only the pipe organ sounds? Also, how did you manage to controll the length of the sounds? I'm really struggling with this, and would greatly appreciate it if you gave me some information regarding this feature.
Sounds in Minecraft 1.6.1 and newer are loaded as assets (which may not be just sounds). Assets can be loaded as Java resources (e.g. inside the game jar which is a zip file), as an asset directory created by the game launcher using the asset index, or as part of resource packs. Sounds are not textures or data. In this mod, all new sounds are loaded using the asset directory, where they are stored in ogg audio format.
The length of the sound is adjusted by placing block pillars of different lengths under the note blocks, as shown in the video review of the sounds:
If you need a version of the pipe organs from this mod for a specific version of vanilla Minecraft or for an existing instance, please specify the version or the instance.
so late haha, didn't check on this for a long time...

have fun!!
p.s. i'm thinking of decompiling RC3 and adding my own stuff, maybe i'd get myself to revive it someday[/i]

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
my only wish is to bring this mod to forge 1.7 :sobbing:

about this... haha
I've been working on it for the recent time and I'm ready to open the playtesting stage of the mod.
Anyone is welcome! I'm only happy to be able to hopefully *continue* this mod's legacy.
