ATm I'm having trouble re-physicing a ship that I had physlocked as I was remaking it (changed mod versions mid-rework). The only moment it "worked", the ship disappeared D:

Yup, stronger engines are planne d(and should be easy to do), same for antigravity engines.
I have my own "addon" (more like sidemod) mod that adds cannons, for fighting. They can be used without ships if you want but the idea is to have ship-to-ship combat (need thebest to do something first tho).
Tried this mod out after the long wait, and I'm glad I did! I was surprised it didn't lag at all and I didn't have any major problems. I ran it on 1.10.2 Forge + Liteloader with optifine, minecraft flight sim, better foliage, MATMOS and presence footsteps.
I love feeling of using the redstone engines, the only thing I would want to change are the way ether compressors work. Rather than setting an altitude, I would prefer if you could set an output thrust value (i.e. 0% = drop out the sky, 50% = hover, 70% = rise x m/s, etc.) Also, when you descend, you drop out the sky instead of gradually lowering the ship (which would be fixed with the percent system). Of course, I have no idea how hard this will be to change or if it will cause other problems if changed, but so far I'm loving the mod!
Dude you really shouldn't make a addon mod for two reasons. A. mod is very early in development & B. (the main reason) thebest108 has probably already planned on making faster engines, and i'm assuming that mod you made is engine tiers that go faster than the standard one. Just saying if you make the mod it probably won't take to long for the real version of it to be implemented, and also can't you make engines goes faster with a command?
It's just something i'm working on until thebest108 opens the source, then I can actually add useful stuff to the mod, rather than guessing what the code is based on a bytecode editor and then modifying values. Plus, I have some features planned that would never make it into the main mod (RF powered engines, etc.)

Plus, I have some features planned that would never make it into the main mod (RF powered engines, etc.)
Maybe you could include wireless redstone so others wouldn't have to install rftools too?

That's not rendering, that's chunk loading.
Actually no, the chunks were already loaded, it's just that I couldn't see them.

That looks nice! Do they have different thrust?
Are you still working on the cannons mod? I tested it in .85b, the nonexplosive cannon ball still can not perform ship to ship destruction.

ships are not stable. I can have everything balanced out and then all of a sudden it starts spazzing out

I'm running a server with the mod installed and whenever I use it in gamemode 0 I get disconnected and I receive this message
