Sorry, but Vampirism for MC 1.7.10 and Minecraft itself are very different from the recent versions
Sounds fun, but also annoying ^^
As already suggested there is a config option somewhere, but you can also use "/vampirism eye <1/2/3/4/5..>" and "/vampirism fang <1/2/3/4/..>" to find some fangs/eyes that fit to your skin.
The vampire animals are not good for anything (besides looking cool)
Still, I think the new AI for vampire animals is too ... agressive. It seems to overwrite the previous one completely. As said my cat is still moving while remaining in the sitting animation.
Looks hilarious, yet that can't be correct ^^

Yes, I AM a Vampire. Nice of you to notice.
Why is that box so big? What do you mean I should stop breaking the fourth wall?

I think I keep putting your suggestions on a shelf, because there are (in my opinion) more important things to do. But maybe I should finally start adding some more aggressive vampire skills/weapons.
Hope I will be able to start on this this weekend.
Can you give me a more detailed description of this sword?

a thought came to mind.
(yes i am a huge castlevania nerd if you can't tell)
in castlevania (and in japanese mythology) there is a blade called the "marumasa."
legends say it is a powerful, demonic sword. the thing is: it is also cursed. how cursed is it? well. it HAS to feed on blood too. if it goes a certain amount of time unsaited, it will start to feed on a persons life force. but, since you are a vampire, going without blood already damages you. so, perhaps the castlevania version may interest you. in castlevania sotn, it has a passive healing effect when you touch an enemies blood particles that spray out of certain enemies. it starts off pathetically weak, but there is an unseen side effect: every time you do this blood healing technique, it makes the sword stronger. little by little, it gains its own levels. until finally, it glows a bright crimson red. it doesn't stop then, either. it can potentially be leveled (through heavy grinding) to the point where its maxed out at 999 damage - the highest in the game.
wouldnt it be fitting to have a weapon for a vampire that also feeds on blood?
so. my theory is this: this sword, called the marumasa, would get stronger as you feed on blood while holding it. it would be impossible to turn others while holding this sword, but for every bit of blood drained while holding it, it gains its own, hidden exp stat. when it is maxed out, even the most skilled hunter will fear you!! and yes, it will look like a sinister black katana with a reddish outline.
however, if a non-vampire person wields it. it is still a powerful weapon. but if you don't keep it fed by killing non-undead mobs, it will start to damage you. you do not get the boosts vampires do, and you are cursed for however long you have it in your inventory.
and it's fine to put my suggestions on the shelf. i'm a patient guy and i don't like to force people to take my suggestions to heart. castlevania vampires are VERY op, but at the same time, so are the vampire hunters.

Good suggestion, yet it seems to be quite difficult to pull off.
You should have also mentioned that the muramasa is a katana.
Sometimes also portraid as a ninjatou, yet mostly katana. Ninjatou would be the easier sprite due to it not being kurved.

I mean this with the deepest respect, seeing as i could never hope to develop mods myself...but you really need to partner with a texture artist. The "look" of this mod is the main thing turning me off from putting it in my pack.

I got a simple suggestion: Advanced Rocketry compatibility so vampire players don't suffocate in no atmosphere enviroments. Thankfully since we can already add vampire mobs from the mod to the Advanced Rocketry atmosphere bypass config that's not needed. Just a bit weird that vampire players suffocate in my opinion and I have yet to find a way to add a player to the bypass.

Do you by any chance know any texture artist interested? ^^
But seriously, which looks specifically do you not like? I think at least a few parts look quite good.
BTW: As usual, some stuff came into my way (mainly Christmas) and some Forge related stuff. Should have some time after Christmas though
As of Vampirism 1.4 (currently in alpha) there will be some automatically calculated values for all mods, but they will be lower than the manually specified ones
I notice that Vampires can still drink blood in GriefPrevention claims. We can set flags so entities don't take damage, but that doesn't stop vampires from running up to players in spawn and biting them infinitely until they get the vampire potion effect. Would it be possible to configure the vampire bite in some way to prevent it in GP claims?
Is GriefPrevention a Forge mod or a Sponge/Bukkit/Spigot ... plugin? If it is the latter I won't be able to do anything about this since I haven't found any way of interacting with any kind of permission system. However, Forge got a permission system recently and maybe Sponge will become compatible https://github.com/SpongePowered/SpongeForge/issues/1049
Why is the vampire slayer enchantment findable, yet illnamed?
Namely enchantment.vampirism.vampireSlayer (V)
And why can I drown vampire barons?
Aren't they vampires like me. I can "breathe" underwater
Thx for reporting, will fix the barons.
Not sure about the enchantment, looks fine to me. Which version of Vampirism are you using?
BTW the vampire slayer enchantment currently only works against vampire mobs and not vampire players as I am still waiting for a Forge change

My computer pooped out on me since I made that post, but when I get it fixed in a few days, I will load up the mod and make some screenshots. I would volunteer myself, but I'm honestly not sure I have the skills needed to help much. You probably would want to find somebody who can do custom models too anyway, and that's definitely outside my skillset.

any way we can get some vampire-exclusive weapons? i'd like to have a crimson red sword!

Quite an unusual mod compatibility but sure I will have a look. https://github.com/TeamLapen/VampirismIntegrations/issues/9

Weird.

How to become a vampire hunter's ability to use vampires
Hello !
I am a big fan of your mod ! I love what you did with the vampire !
But I am also a big fan of Mo' Creature and I don't want to have to choose between the two mods.
How can I make the mod compatible with Mo' Creature ? I would like to drink blood from the animals add by the mod.
Could you help me ?
I have questions as well.

Found another thing.
The altar of Infusion eats the stuff I give it if not everything is in there.
I am quite upset about that

Why is that box so big? What do you mean I should stop breaking the fourth wall?
What exactly do you mean?
Become a vampire, become a hunter?
Or disguise as vampire if you are a vampire?
Or something else
You can add blood values yourself and submit them (sadly nobody else has done this so far) https://github.com/TeamLapen/Vampirism/wiki/Biteable-Creatures

Small alpha update:
- Allow binding actions to keys
- Fix exploit
- Reduce vampire mob bite distance
- Added blood values by iamtpage for Sophisticated Wolves and Twilight Forest
I am also working on a model for a new sword. Still very ugly, but not sure if I will be able to make it much nicer

Still not sure what you mean. Any abilities are unlocked by levelling up to get skill points and then unlocking skills in the skill menu
