Hi maxanier! Vampirism is a GREAT MOD,but i think there is one thing that needs too be changed:
_Sleep in a coffin as a vampire ONLY available in day and you wake up at night,yeah that make sense.But that means i always have to face other hostile mobs that want to eat me!Even you are vampire-a monster,you still be attacked by other monsters.This make me can't walk around and having fun like HUMAN.Maybe these are solutions:
+Hostile mobs won't attack vampires any more(except bosses like wither,nether dragon,...).Yeah i know this might be unbalance because player gonna use this feature to free farm mobs.So,you should add a feature called "reputation".If you don't attack hostile mobs,they won't attack you.If you
accidentally attack ONE mob,only that mob will attack you but if you kill TOO MUCH one type of mobs,that type of mob will aggressive with players and
attack them whenever they see them(just like now).It'll be more realistic.
+If you can't,there is another way.Making vampires aggressive with other hostile(monster) mobs.Then,they will fight monsters for you.I think this is best option because recently,with vampire players,vampire doesn't help much.

How about adding some vanilla undeads to the "vampirism mod" (as alternative versions of the existence of an undead-players): skeletons, zombies, zombie pigmans etc. with the appropriate active and passive skills, for example, turning into a skeleton gives the ability not to waste arrows when shooting archery, burning in the sun , damage from the potions of healing, healing from the damage potion (by the way, the same would be nice for vampires), the lack of a hunger scale (health replenishment for example in the case of murder to replace the impossibility of treating food)
How about adding some vanilla undeads to the "vampirism mod" (as alternative versions of the existence of an undead-players): skeletons, zombies, zombie pigmans etc. with the appropriate active and passive skills, for example, turning into a skeleton gives the ability not to waste arrows when shooting archery, burning in the sun , damage from the potions of healing, healing from the damage potion (by the way, the same would be nice for vampires), the lack of a hunger scale (health replenishment for example in the case of murder to replace the impossibility of treating food)
That would be an awesome feature, but I would like to focus development on the vampire (and hunter) side of things.
I've been using this mod with the Betweenlands, and the vampires are only really effected by the decay by gaining slowness 3.
no loss of hearts or dying.
any chance to keep this in the next few updates?
maybe a way to make the Regeneration also slowly get rid of decay? (slowly, so it takes multiple activations, but its still an option if you have enough blood)
theres a way to make other mobs drainable using txt files, so that should be fine...although a way to grind the meats down into blood could be neat...
Also the coffin doesnt work, and i had to make a moss bed.
I mean, yeah theres no day or night in that dimension, but it makes more sense for a coffin to be a respawn point...

My game crashed when I turned a Minecraft Comes Alive villager into a vampire due to Vampirism Addons turning his profession into an invalid value. "12 null" is what the crash report said. I'm guessing this isn't the same profession that vanilla vampire villagers have, as I've made those before in the same modpack (before adding MCA) and it was perfectly fine. Also just now I got a crash where it tried to set an MCA villager's profession to "13 null" as well, instead of 12 null.
I'm not yet sure what exactly is causing this issue. Vampirism does not mess with the profession id, but only passes the one MCA or Vanilla have assigned to the villager. So I am not sure how Vampirism is involved.
As far as I can tell the specific crash occurred when a Zombie Pigman killed a MCA villager (normal or vampire or angry) and the game tried to convert the villager to a zombie villager.
So I assume the game just randomly crashed. Is this correct or can you provide more information about what led to the crash?
Edit: I was able to reproduce it by just summoning a normal MCA villager and a zombie. Once the zombie killed the MCA villager the game crashed, so I am pretty sure this is bug in MCA itself.

It happens after i installed Astral Sorcery, so i deleted Astral Sorcery and it still happens.

Also just now I got a crash where it tried to set an MCA villager's profession to "13 null" as well, instead of 12 null.

I'm not yet sure what exactly is causing this issue. Vampirism does not mess with the profession id, but only passes the one MCA or Vanilla have assigned to the villager. So I am not sure how Vampirism is involved.
As far as I can tell the specific crash occurred when a Zombie Pigman killed a MCA villager (normal or vampire or angry) and the game tried to convert the villager to a zombie villager.
So I assume the game just randomly crashed. Is this correct or can you provide more information about what led to the crash?
Edit: I was able to reproduce it by just summoning a normal MCA villager and a zombie. Once the zombie killed the MCA villager the game crashed, so I am pretty sure this is bug in MCA itself.
As a perfect vampire hunter, The crossbow was still not enough... So I'm using the assault rifle with silver bullets to deal with them....
Not only for the vampires, It's also good against with other evil creatures (Werewolves, Undeads .... etc.)
