So yeah, I love this mod. It has been very compatible with the other mods that I am running with it as well- mostly small mods for convenience and or decoration. Conquest reforged texture pack and mod work well with the textures of this mod as well. Loving it! Can't wait for future updates!
Playing on peaceful really makes it feel like a Harvest Moon-type game.
Just a shame that there's no hunger or health/stamina loss on peaceful, but I could probably just gift any food I cook later.
Though, I wouldn't really want to go off of peaceful, because nothing is more jarring then having your calm farming life interrupted by explosions or zombies, lol!
So far, I'm about at Summer 3, with the Carpenter, General Store, Chicken store, the Cow store, and the Blacksmith built.
Spent a lot of time... uh, landscaping?? to make it so the town's buildings are close to the same elevation with each other, so that took up a ~2 in-game weeks lol... Maybe I shoulda just tried a Superflat world.
This mod is really charming.
I really like the buildings' designs, both inside and outside!
Yulif's house is pretty cramped, just like Jade says!
And the upper floor of the General Store has some pretty plants to look at, though the Shop Owner keeps getting stuck on a mushroom in a flower pot for some reason, lol.
Though, I've had a few other weird moments.
Like someone previously posted, I got the Poultry Farm mixed up, thinking it was a COOP, instead of a shop, so I placed it right next to my farmhouse.
Worked out fine for me regardless, though I was surprised during the tutorial.
I thought the chicken she wanted me to feed/pick up was her's, and she was just letting me use it for the Tutorial.
Was nice to get a free chicken to start things off with.
Oh and the chests you can find in certain buildings, is that stuff just... free to take?
I mean I wouldn't wanna rooooob anyone.
Oh, and I have a few questions.
First, about Chickens and Cows.
The NPCs said that they like to be "outside" during nice weather and "inside" when it's raining/etc.
What counts as outside and inside for Minecraft? It's a bit less ambiguous then in the Harvest Moon games.
Does that just mean they need a roof over their heads to block the rainfall?
Second, what would happen to your crops if you accidentally hit them (left-click).
Would they instantly break, or are the protected if they're not ripe.
Mainly asking, for Sickle usage.
I'm having a little trouble telling when things like Grass are fully matured, and I wouldn't want to reap them prematurely, and waste it.
Until then, I'm being reeeeally careful with my mouse-clicking around my crop fields.
And Third, are Pumpkin and Watermelon stem/vines supposed to be grey while they're growing?
Oh and a final weird thing, when the Blacksmith is done repairing something, he'll say something like "Sorry it's not done yet, come back in 0 days." and then give you the repaired item right then and there. Not a huge problem, since he still gives you your item back and fully repaired, but it's just a silly weird thing for him to say.
Hunger: Try the hunger in peaceful mod!
Cows: Yeah pretty much whether they can see the sky or not.
Crops: They shouldn't INSTANTLY break, but they will break quickly. As for things like grass, as soon as they become two blocks tall you can actually harvest them, they just give a bit less fodder.
Stems: They're coloured for me?
So, I ran into a bit of a pickle on my first playthrough. I'd just grown the regular, non-hardy turnip seeds I'd gotten from Jade, deposited them, got my earnings... Yet somehow managed to not have enough for the General Store. Granted, I'd spent 100 gold on a log, thinking it'd be more than just a singular log. But even with that extra 100, I would've been about, 550 short? The only thing I could've collected and deposited at that point, to my understanding, would've been the junk that litters the ground around buildings, like boulders and twigs and stuff. But it would've taken god knows how long to get enough gold for the store by collecting that stuff. I'd thought I'd read something about taking 5 flowers to Jade for some extra seeds while skimming over some dialogue, but nothing occurred when I tried that. In the end, I had to spawn in a few pineapples to get me enough money for the store, and some more seeds from it.
Any idea what I managed to screw up here? If I was suppose to be able to deposit certain normal MC items for more money, I was never able to. I tried everything from wood to ores to mob drops to meat. Meat sort of reacted to me trying to deposit it, but in the end, it didn't let me deposit it at all.
Something that also bugged me slightly, is that, when you're trying to speed up the text on screen while talking to someone by clicking on the text itself, and they're already about half-way finished, it'll skip to the next paragraph of text. This is especially frustrating when NPC's are saying very short sentences. Any plans on fixing that? Perhaps it's intentional?
You need to hand jade any five of the vanilla flowers. They need to all be the same type.
Text: Never happened to me. They always finish their current sentence first. Maybe you're accidentally double clicking.
How do you harvest melons/pumpkins in a way that allows them to be shipped?
Right clicking them once they've grown doesn't do anything, and breaking them just gives Melon slices that can't be shipped.
I even tried crafting 9 melon slices into a whole melon, and that can't be shipped either.
I hope I didn't waste half the summer growing things I can't get G from.
Ohhhh crappppp. I changed something in one of the updates, and completely forgot about the melons/pumpkins behaving differently. I will fix for the next update. So sorry about that! D=

I'll take a look at beetroots. I may have messed something up with them. As for tall grass I've never had that issue.
Where & when do you get the kitchen? Or the cookbook?
When you unlock the café currently. Which is after the general store, animal ranch, poultry farm and blacksmith. Which to be honest is pretty late game. I'll be moving this stuff to earlier game in the future.
Yeah I can confirm beetroots are messed up for me too. Every time I try to destroy the weird colored blocks by hand it crashes my game so I used water to wash them away. Also I have a bug to report. The villager's tell me they want to give me something but I never receive anything. I have most of the villagers at purple hearts and I am assuming they want to give me recipes.
The kitchen items are super cute. I have all the buildings unlocked, currently working on getting sprinkler's. When do those appear? Later in the game right?
Fixed the bug for the beetroots, and also the recipes for next update. Which I'll probably release on Friday. Sprinklers are meant to be unlocked for purchase from the blacksmith after year 1. But can only be purchased on Saturdays.

This is currently my favorite mod right now! I made a superflat test world for it and I ended up legitimately playing it lol. Here are some observations and suggestions!
The clockmaker is never open, not that I woudl know when he is since all he says is "harvestfestival.npc.tiberius.shop" which is code name for fk off lol. Also there sin't a sign outside saying when he is open either. Same thing for the Town Hall, don't know when the mayor will be useful.
I though that pumpkins would be something unlocked in fall, but I can't figure out how to do that. Do I just find and use regular pumpkin seeds?
Also, naming animals would be a pretty cool thing to include so I know which I've cared for and stuff. Having a visible heart meter on right click would be wonderful so I can know how much they like me.
Having an option for yulif to build you a house would be fantastic, the houses are really well designed and very pretty!
What use is the sickle? When I use it it destroys my field indesriminately, the only way I assume to stop it is to section off your various crops. Left clicking on just grass seems to harvest just that tho so that is great. As a suggestion I would love a harvest basket or something. It would be a glorified right click for maybe a 3x3 or larger. Harvesting things by hand is the only tedious thing so far, and I don't want to resort to setting up automated harvesting machines from other mods.
Crows and wild animals like bunnies that attack your field would be a fun addition. You even have bunnies in mc already. Making a scarecrow to ward them off would be pretty cool too.
Also trees! I don't see any way to grow trees and fruit! I think that's the only thing that I feel is really missing, making an orchard of apple trees and stuff.
Also, lastly, the goddess has talked a tiny bit about harvest faries or something? It got me thinking that seasonal festivals would probably be my favorite idea to be implemented. Harvest festival for fall, a winter solstice/christmas for winter, something for spring and something for summer. Perhaps you'd want to grow as much food as possible before the festival as an alternate way to use your food, which you would be rewarded at the end. Alternatively, you could use gold to buy upgrades for the festival!

1. The clockmaker doesn't actually have a shop normally. I should remove the greeting for him as he's meant to tell your something else anyway. He only has one if you also have Blood Magic installed. And then it's just a bonus, not important, why I don't tell you the hours anywhere.
2. Pumpkins are unlocked after year one. So you won't see them in your first autumn, but will in your second.
3. You can of course name animals with name tags already, I think easiest thing for me to do is to just let you purchase those. I plan for some indicators for their stats for sure.
4. On my plans, hopefully will be modular so can expand it too.
5. Sickle: Sickles main uses are: Destruction of withered crops, harvesting of wheat/grass.
5. Basket: I do have plan for a basket, but I don't think I want it to do what you ask but more just ship things straight away on picking up, I personally don't find it tedious. You can use the sickle to harvest larger areas at a time too. (Upgraded versions).
6. While a nice idea, i think i want a more peaceful atmosphere, not destruction from critters
7. Trees are planned for the next major update! That is for sure. They are definitely missing.
8. Festivals as such are also planned for the next major update!

But my net freaked out right as she gave me the things, I was on a server, and the things were lost. So I went and made a new single player world, had her Cafe build, but she will not teach me again. I wanted to know what Items I lost. Is there a reason it wont trigger again even in a new world?

You can't just jump straight through to her quests. There's the specific order/requirement for them. But to save you the trouble. She gives you:
+ Kitchen Counter
+ Knife
+ Recipe Book
+ Pickled Turnip Recipe
The tutorials are per person, per world. Which is why you are able to skip them on new worlds :P.

I didn't realize that yearly progression unlocked different things, tho I hoped! I figured that you might not have gotten to that yet since this is a pretty new mod.
Derp I didn't even think about name tags, I don't use vanilla much. Never had much reason to name animals before either.

You're right! A basket Hopefully joshie can do the same code for the basket like he did with the chicken (the on top of the head part) and maybe it could be an entity. The second pics are the library which is a bit far away from this state but yes, the last pic is player housing! I'm working on making modules that you can buy if you want to.
I just would like to report a cross mod compatibility issue I just encountered. I have the inventory pets mod installed and when I slept using the bed pet, my game time was reset back to spring 1. I found that I could also not sleep using the bed pet during the day only at night and that is when I had the time reset. Luckily I just made a back up of my save only moments before phew or I think I would be a little more upset. Just thought you guys maybe interested in knowing or at least this can serve as a warning to anyone else who uses inventory pets.
Oh another question.
How do you harvest melons/pumpkins in a way that allows them to be shipped?
Right clicking them once they've grown doesn't do anything, and breaking them just gives Melon slices that can't be shipped.
I even tried crafting 9 melon slices into a whole melon, and that can't be shipped either.
I hope I didn't waste half the summer growing things I can't get G from.
Just other few things:
The tall grass sometimes cannot be harvested properly. The upper part turns into dirt block... I destroyed them and the whole plant disappear... It only happened once though.
Beet roots turned into purple and black blocks ("null" blocks?) after become mature. They cannot be harvested by hand or sickle. When I jump on them they disappear and the land turned into plain dirt. When I try to destroy them with left click the game crashes.

So yeah, I love this mod. It has been very compatible with the other mods that I am running with it as well- mostly small mods for convenience and or decoration. Conquest reforged texture pack and mod work well with the textures of this mod as well. Loving it! Can't wait for future updates!

Cows: Yeah pretty much whether they can see the sky or not.
Crops: They shouldn't INSTANTLY break, but they will break quickly. As for things like grass, as soon as they become two blocks tall you can actually harvest them, they just give a bit less fodder.

When you unlock the café currently. Which is after the general store, animal ranch, poultry farm and blacksmith. Which to be honest is pretty late game. I'll be moving this stuff to earlier game in the future.
Yeah I can confirm beetroots are messed up for me too. Every time I try to destroy the weird colored blocks by hand it crashes my game so I used water to wash them away. Also I have a bug to report. The villager's tell me they want to give me something but I never receive anything. I have most of the villagers at purple hearts and I am assuming they want to give me recipes.
The kitchen items are super cute. I have all the buildings unlocked, currently working on getting sprinkler's. When do those appear? Later in the game right?

Fixed the bug for the beetroots, and also the recipes for next update. Which I'll probably release on Friday. Sprinklers are meant to be unlocked for purchase from the blacksmith after year 1. But can only be purchased on Saturdays.
This is currently my favorite mod right now! I made a superflat test world for it and I ended up legitimately playing it lol. Here are some observations and suggestions!
Thanks a whole bunch for this mod, I'd love to help out so I'm may look into seeing what you guys need help with on your github.
1. The clockmaker doesn't actually have a shop normally. I should remove the greeting for him as he's meant to tell your something else anyway. He only has one if you also have Blood Magic installed. And then it's just a bonus, not important, why I don't tell you the hours anywhere.
2. Pumpkins are unlocked after year one. So you won't see them in your first autumn, but will in your second.
3. You can of course name animals with name tags already, I think easiest thing for me to do is to just let you purchase those. I plan for some indicators for their stats for sure.
4. On my plans, hopefully will be modular so can expand it too.
5. Sickle: Sickles main uses are: Destruction of withered crops, harvesting of wheat/grass.
5. Basket: I do have plan for a basket, but I don't think I want it to do what you ask but more just ship things straight away on picking up, I personally don't find it tedious. You can use the sickle to harvest larger areas at a time too. (Upgraded versions).
6. While a nice idea, i think i want a more peaceful atmosphere, not destruction from critters
7. Trees are planned for the next major update! That is for sure. They are definitely missing.
8. Festivals as such are also planned for the next major update!
I am not sure how the being taught things works from npcs. The Cafe girl tough me how to cook and gave me some things. But my net freaked out right as she gave me the things, I was on a server, and the things were lost. So I went and made a new single player world, had her Cafe build, but she will not teach me again. I wanted to know what Items I lost. Is there a reason it wont trigger again even in a new world?
Also is being tough how to do things triggered once ever, once per world, or once per person?
You can't just jump straight through to her quests. There's the specific order/requirement for them. But to save you the trouble. She gives you:
+ Kitchen Counter
+ Knife
+ Recipe Book
+ Pickled Turnip Recipe
The tutorials are per person, per world. Which is why you are able to skip them on new worlds :P.
Oh I seee, what is the quest order if you don't mind me asking? A friend is playing on my server with me and I thought it just bugged out but maybe she just missed one of the quests.
it might be good to add a way to track your progress, like maybe if you talk to the goddess she will tell you who you should visit next.

Fixed in 0.5.8. And nah it was because I didn't give wheat an ingredient, but i was adding a recipe for it in the mixer.

You're right! A basket Hopefully joshie can do the same code for the basket like he did with the chicken (the on top of the head part) and maybe it could be an entity. The second pics are the library which is a bit far away from this state but yes, the last pic is player housing! I'm working on making modules that you can buy if you want to.
I just would like to report a cross mod compatibility issue I just encountered. I have the inventory pets mod installed and when I slept using the bed pet, my game time was reset back to spring 1. I found that I could also not sleep using the bed pet during the day only at night and that is when I had the time reset. Luckily I just made a back up of my save only moments before phew or I think I would be a little more upset. Just thought you guys maybe interested in knowing or at least this can serve as a warning to anyone else who uses inventory pets.
