I never realized how much I wanted Harvest Moon in Minecraft until I found this mod! Thanks! One question though. Is it possible to disable vanilla seeds from spawning? Since they're not used, I end up with stacks of the useless things whenever I clear land. Another thing, a really weird thing happened. I went to bed to pass the night and when I woke up, I was trapped in the bed screen. I couldn't move or leave the bed, yet time was still passing. I finally had to close out Minecraft.

Config for seeds: Will do, but I will probably keep that off by default, because some mods may require seeds in their recipes.
Bed: From what I understand this is a minecraft bug: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-92216
I am having so much fun with your mod, I did have one bug last night but I do not have a crash report for it, and no one else is on my server so I can not recreate it right now. But it seems on a server when ever some one plants a crop, if another person is watching them, they crash. If there further away they seem not to. If my friend comes on to play with me Ill recreate it and get a crash report for you.
Also a question? I built the miners hut, well the guy did xD but there is no mine for it, just parts for a mine, I am confused on what to do next. Or is there a later building that is the Mine its self?
I absolutely love this mod! However, I have to let you know that it is not at all compatible with any shaders. SEUS works fine during sunny days (since you can set it to sync with the in-game time). But, the weather effects in the mod make all shaders bug out massively.
I'm assuming it's caused by the mod's "fog" effect.
During a normal rain or snow shower, light sources and the sky begin to blink rapidly. During a blizzard or typhoon, the screen will turn completely black.
Not asking for a fix here as I realize shader compatibility is not a major issue for most. I just thought I'd let you know as I'm beginning to see others mention the bug in the SEUS thread.
Having said all that, I've gladly disabled my shaders just to play this mod. You've done a fantastic job with this!
Now, it looks like you've already got plans to make the mod capable of Multiplayer, but I have to ask. Have you considered including the ability for more than one player to share a farm? Naturally this probably won't even be something you'd work on until you got closer to your planned Stage 3 release, but having a shared Wallet or even the ability to marry and have a kid with other players wouldn't be entirely amiss, especially for certain husband and wife teams *cough*
I can forsee some balance issues, if marriage comes with any perks that could be gained easier without a heart meter or have a loss of function without one partner being an NPC, but it's still something I thought I'd ask about.
Thanks, appreciate it :). Yeah you are right. I don't use shaders, and don't even think it's something I could fix anyway.
No problem!
As far as a potential fix, the only thing I could think of is a config setting to disable the "fog" during storms. However, I've no clue how difcult that would be to implement. Just an idea though!
As I've said, I have no issue with disabling shaders for this mod. It definitely seems worth it. The little decorative additions (stumps, rocks, etc) in the mod really make up for it as far as I'm concerned.
If I play on peaceful, will the dark creatures still appear in the mines? My computer is a potato, & the lag is bad enough that I prefer to play w/o the annoyance of
mobs. Plus zombies, skeletons, & giant spiders don't really fit into Harvest Moon. [/p]

I switched to Peaceful to see and confirm and the dark creatures do not spawn. So don't worry, you can mine safely.

The mod is already capable of multiplayer. I'm not going to add "teams". It just doesn't feel right to me. I probably will add a link a bank, or someway for you to transfer gold between players. (ATM you can buy/sell salt) which ships for the same as its purchase price. Also any additional quests I add, will more than likely be centred around the town rather than tied to the player. I will keep the tutorial player specific though. Marriage between players will be possible yes. Always was planned. I can probably even try to include a way that you NEED to build relationships with players too. But it's not something I'll consider until I do the dating/relationship expansion. I believe the other features are more important to me.

The thing is. I only add fog when it snows/blizzard. I don't do anything except for make it rain heavily/thunder (using vanilla mechanics) for the typhoon.

Is there a profile for animals like in Harvest Moon? I'd like to see how many hugs and treats are left before getting large milk
Also my chickens are so fragile! Since I have to pick them up and moving around them a lot I accidentally hit them sometimes and there is no way to get the health back now...

Thank you for the awesome mod!
Shipping: There isn't a way to see how much they'll ship for no. That's something I'd probably add to an external website if I ever do it.
Profile: There isn't currently no, but I will probably add a book that you can look at, or maybe an analyzer or something, to check your animals stats in the future. Not sure when though.
Fragile: Indeed, In 0.5.6 I gave all the animals much more health, I also give them regeneration for a little bit when they take damage. So make sure you are using the latest version.
Playing on peaceful really makes it feel like a Harvest Moon-type game.
Just a shame that there's no hunger or health/stamina loss on peaceful, but I could probably just gift any food I cook later.
Though, I wouldn't really want to go off of peaceful, because nothing is more jarring then having your calm farming life interrupted by explosions or zombies, lol!
So far, I'm about at Summer 3, with the Carpenter, General Store, Chicken store, the Cow store, and the Blacksmith built.
Spent a lot of time... uh, landscaping?? to make it so the town's buildings are close to the same elevation with each other, so that took up a ~2 in-game weeks lol... Maybe I shoulda just tried a Superflat world.
This mod is really charming.
I really like the buildings' designs, both inside and outside!
Yulif's house is pretty cramped, just like Jade says!
And the upper floor of the General Store has some pretty plants to look at, though the Shop Owner keeps getting stuck on a mushroom in a flower pot for some reason, lol.
Though, I've had a few other weird moments.
Like someone previously posted, I got the Poultry Farm mixed up, thinking it was a COOP, instead of a shop, so I placed it right next to my farmhouse.
Worked out fine for me regardless, though I was surprised during the tutorial.
I thought the chicken she wanted me to feed/pick up was her's, and she was just letting me use it for the Tutorial.
Was nice to get a free chicken to start things off with.
Oh and the chests you can find in certain buildings, is that stuff just... free to take?
I mean I wouldn't wanna rooooob anyone.
Oh, and I have a few questions.
First, about Chickens and Cows.
The NPCs said that they like to be "outside" during nice weather and "inside" when it's raining/etc.
What counts as outside and inside for Minecraft? It's a bit less ambiguous then in the Harvest Moon games.
Does that just mean they need a roof over their heads to block the rainfall?
Second, what would happen to your crops if you accidentally hit them (left-click).
Would they instantly break, or are the protected if they're not ripe.
Mainly asking, for Sickle usage.
I'm having a little trouble telling when things like Grass are fully matured, and I wouldn't want to reap them prematurely, and waste it.
Until then, I'm being reeeeally careful with my mouse-clicking around my crop fields.
And Third, are Pumpkin and Watermelon stem/vines supposed to be grey while they're growing?
Oh and a final weird thing, when the Blacksmith is done repairing something, he'll say something like "Sorry it's not done yet, come back in 0 days." and then give you the repaired item right then and there. Not a huge problem, since he still gives you your item back and fully repaired, but it's just a silly weird thing for him to say.
So, I ran into a bit of a pickle on my first playthrough. I'd just grown the regular, non-hardy turnip seeds I'd gotten from Jade, deposited them, got my earnings... Yet somehow managed to not have enough for the General Store. Granted, I'd spent 100 gold on a log, thinking it'd be more than just a singular log. But even with that extra 100, I would've been about, 550 short? The only thing I could've collected and deposited at that point, to my understanding, would've been the junk that litters the ground around buildings, like boulders and twigs and stuff. But it would've taken god knows how long to get enough gold for the store by collecting that stuff. I'd thought I'd read something about taking 5 flowers to Jade for some extra seeds while skimming over some dialogue, but nothing occurred when I tried that. In the end, I had to spawn in a few pineapples to get me enough money for the store, and some more seeds from it.
Any idea what I managed to screw up here? If I was suppose to be able to deposit certain normal MC items for more money, I was never able to. I tried everything from wood to ores to mob drops to meat. Meat sort of reacted to me trying to deposit it, but in the end, it didn't let me deposit it at all.
Something that also bugged me slightly, is that, when you're trying to speed up the text on screen while talking to someone by clicking on the text itself, and they're already about half-way finished, it'll skip to the next paragraph of text. This is especially frustrating when NPC's are saying very short sentences. Any plans on fixing that? Perhaps it's intentional?

Do you happen to remember what flowers you were trying to trade in?
I've found that Jade doesn't trade seeds for flowers like Sunflowers or Lilacs.
Also offering things like 2 Tulips and 3 Dandelions, while being 5 flowers total, doesn't count either.
I'm also not sure if the items have to be the one you're currently holding on your hotbar when talking to her, either.
This looks really cool
Bug reports go on the issue tracker not here. Also you should put such things in spoiler. Either way fixed for next update.

Make sure you're using 0.5.6 which I released earlier. It fixed a bunch of crashes with the crops.
After building the miners hut it should unlock the mining hill for you to build.
Oh Cool, Ill update right away, thanks!

They won't appear. They're hostile mobs.
Great job!!! I really enjoy playing it now.
