Official server is awesome!!! Great combination of mods. I know it's a work in progress and still working on some Workers, but so far Builder, Miner, Farmer, Lumberjack and Fisherman are WOW!!!
Buildings have a nice balance of materials for upgrading difficulty as the game progresses and custom Schematics for all buildings can be used as well.
The SHIP!!! It's HUGE!!! with ssoo much material to loot from or just as a starter base, has beds, chests, glowstones, and even bookcases!!!
I gotta upload some pics... it's just incredibly B E A U T I F U LL !!!
The WIKI ( http://www.minecolonies.com/wiki ) has everything: a short but thorough Tutorial (with pics and all), a Workers page with all the details for each worker and even the Installation page...
I vote we have a Pic contest to see all the different Towns.
I'm trying the 1.10.2 version for the very first time and I am already very excited about it. One thing I want to mention, though, is that as far I have observed, workers dig/chop blocks very slowly, even if I give them diamond shovels or axes. Is it just me or is it an intended feature? Btw, KUTGW!
We implemented a skill system for our workers. Depending on their skills they will level up at a certain speed.
And depending on this level they will work slower.
So yeah, at the very start workers are pretty slow. But we're probably going to change the speed them up a bit but let them receive less blocks in return to balance it out a bit.
We just fixed some bugs with the permissions in old colonies, made the lumberjack wait less for saplings, fixed various bugs with the buildTool placement and rotation of the blocks.
Added new block designs for the fisherman, builder and townHall block.
And fixed a bug where the miner wasn't working anymore after miner hut level > 4.
the buildings look good in my opinion, and the way everything is handled to where you cant depend that much on the mod for resources for yourself is very good
We just updated our mod to a newer version and finally fixed some bad pathfinding issues.
We also opened the server for public use now.

You should update your curse launcher to the newest version in order to access the server.

We found the source of all the lag on the server and increased the view distance back to 12 again.
The server is currently rerendering all chunks and will soon be up without all that lag.

We fixed a lot of bugs in the last week and will soon also announce a new worker (Patreons may test him out earlier).
We will set up the server new soon but players may keep their inventory.
Therefore, @Everyone, craft some backpacks and store your valuables.

Is the alpha version for 1.10 or is it for 1.8.9?
Alpha and beta are for 1.10
and Release is for 1.8.9.
We push out the biggest changes (like the new guard etc)
also to 1.8.9.
But our server as well as smaller changes reach only 1.10.

Updated our mod on curse and added a lot of new features and fixed some bugs.
Initial anti-grief systems, repaired and new buildTool rendering which is now way more efficient and more.

Removed a lot of issues players had with our buildTool in 1.10+ due to a complete rework which also helps to improve the overall performance again.
