An "Enhanced Vanilla" Minecraft Mod
by Rainbeau Flambe (DBurgdorf)
v. RKS1.02, for Minecraft 1.10.2
This mod adds various new recipes and minor gameplay tweaks.
It's sort of a "grab bag" of things I didn't include in my other mods.
(1) NEW ITEMS -- Items that don't exist in pure vanilla Minecraft.
"Add Clay Stairs and Slabs": This option allows you to craft hardened and stained clay stairs and slabs. After all, who can't use more color in their builds?
"Add Grass Stairs and Slabs": This option allows you to create grass (as well as dirt, sand and gravel) stairs and slabs. They could be useful for landscaping, I suppose. Grass and mycelium will spread to dirt stairs and slabs just as to regular dirt blocks, and grass stairs and slabs, like regular grass blocks, can be turned into paths by right-clicking them with a shovel. Grass and mycelium stairs and slabs, when harvested without silk touch, will simply yield dirt stairs or slabs, just as normal grass and mycelium blocks yield only regular dirt blocks.
"Add Stone Stairs and Slabs": This option allows you to craft various types of stone stairs, slabs and walls. Why they're missing from vanilla Minecraft, I have no idea.
"Add Wool Stairs and Slabs": Slabs and stairs of wool. Because, well, why not?
"Replace Cobblestone Walls": Replace the default cobblestone and mossy cobblestone walls with custom versions. They won't look any different, but they will connect properly to new wall types.
"Replace Fence Gates": Replace default fence gates with custom versions. There's no visual difference, but the custom versions will connect properly to new wall types.
(2) NEW RECIPES -- New recipes for old items not craftable in vanilla Minecraft.
"Cobwebs": You can craft cobwebs from string and slime. (Why slime? Well, something has to make them sticky!)
"Glowstone Dust": Glowstone dust can be created by mixing redstone dust, gunpowder and yellow dye.
"Grass Block": Grass blocks can be crafted by surrounding a dirt block with seeds.
"Horse Armor": Horse armor can be crafted with a combination of regular armor pieces and wool.
"Mycelium Block": Mycelium blocks can be created with dirt blocks and mycelium spores, which drop from mooshrooms.
"Nametag": Nametags are created with paper and iron ingots.
"Nether Star": Allows crafting of nether stars, if you're not inclined to have to kill withers to get them. They're not cheap, though, as each one requires four wither skeleton skulls, four quartz blocks and a diamond block.
"Saddle": Saddles are made from leather, string and iron ingots.
"Slimeball": Slimeballs are crafted with clay, water and lime dye.
(3) MOB OPTIONS -- Options altering mob behavior.
"Endermen Drop Pearls": Endermen will always drop at least one ender pearl when killed, and will sometimes drop two.
"Fewer Village Doors": Villages only need to have a single door per villager, rather than 2.9 doors. This allows villages to have larger populations. Villager breeding mechanics are otherwise unaltered.
"Mobs Drop Heads": Creepers, skeletons and zombies have a small chance of dropping their heads when killed.
"No Creeper Block Damage": Creepers still explode and damage nearby players and mobs, but do no block damage. Other forms of mob griefing are unaffected by this option, so endermen can still move dirt around, villagers can still farm, sheep can eat grass, etc.
(4) COMMANDS -- Options allowing players to utilize a few "slash" commands.
"Allow /back": This command takes you back to where you last teleported from, or to where you last died.
"Allow /home": This command, of course, takes you back to your bed or to a preset "home" location.
"Allow Extra Homes": This sets how many (if any) "home" locations you can have in addition to your bed. Locations are defined with /sethome <name> and removed with /delhome <name>. (Range 0-10; Default 3.)
"Allow Rain Adjustment": This allows you access to commands to stop or start rainfall. The commands, logically enough, are /rainstart and /rainstop.
"Allow Time Adjustment": This allows you access to commands to set the time to sunrise or sunset. The commands are /sunrise and /sunset, as you probably could have guessed.
(5) WORLD OPTIONS -- Options altering how the world works.
"Cocoa in Chests": Cocoa beans can sometimes be found in chests in abandoned mineshafts. So even if you haven't yet found a jungle, you might still manage to get a bit of brown dye.
"Flat Bedrock": Bedrock generates as a single flat layer instead of as a jagged mess.
"More Music": Dungeon chests have a chance of containing ANY music disk, not just "13" and "Cat."
You must have Forge installed. Just drop this mod into your "mods" directory, and you should be good to go.
"Rainbeau's Kitchen Sink" is distributed under the GNU GPL. If you'd like to use it in a mod pack, you're welcome to do so, though I'd appreciate knowing about it.
- Added a few basic "slash" commands: /home, /sethome, /delhome, /back, /rainstart, /rainstop, /sunrise and /sunset. These aren't hugely game-changing abilities, but are nice, and of course are unavailable in vanilla Minecraft without cheats. As with everything else, all are configurable, so you can use only the ones you want and disable the rest.
