I showed this mod to my friend whose been playing shooter games like Battlefield and stuff for years. When we were having a deathmatch, we noticed that the weapons seemed to do a completely random amount of damage per shot. So, I must ask how does the damage system work exactly, because it didn't seem to make sense that it would have body part damage values because ... well it was completely random. Please reply to me about the damage system or if it's a bug, please fix it. Thanks

Headshot: Damage + (Damage / 2) I.E. a gun that does 15 damage will do 22.5, killing in one hit
Chest: Damage I.E. a gun that does 15 damage will do exactly 15 =P
Legs: Damage - (Damage / 1.3) I.E. a gun that does 15 damage will do roughly 3.5 damage
Feet: Damage - (Damage / 1.1) I.E a gun that does 15 damage will do roughly 1.4 Damage
If the player is wearing a helmet besides weak helmets such as the Canadian hat(which is just cloth) and the gun does less than 16 damage(Lower Caliber guns such as the M1 Carbine and all pistols) will have the damage divided by a random number between 0 and 3, which has 0.5 added to it if it is greater than 0. If the number is greater than 0, the damage will be divided by the number. For example, a gun that does 15 damage will now do 10 if the number selected is 1.
Next it accounts for the distance from the player, the farther away, the less damage it does because the bullet slows down. The dropoff is based off of the bullet caliber and is a complex equation that I would rather not post here. But for example .22 lr damage drops off very quickly while .45 acp sustains for quite a long distance. Rifle Calibers like .30-06 barely drop off at all.

No idea! Just moved to a new area so I have lots of stuff to reorganize so I am a bit more busy than usual. I have got a few more medium updates(not minor or major) before I add a new faction. They are as follows in no particular order:
Fatal Steps Update(Mines and more!)
Heavy Firepower Update(.50 Browning and other HMGs)
Volkssturm Update(Weapons of the Volkssturm)
Many others have reported this bug and it has been fixed. Few more things to finish before release of update, I hope to release it today.

I can not start my server, my friend
It is still the same error as before, the only way to fix it is the config option. The config is currently named ww2.cfg
You should see a line that is as follows:
B:"Cauldron Server"=false
Replace false with true and it should work.

Just curious, when do you think you will start working on the Japanese weapons and armor update? Not trying to rush you or force you to make the Japan team, but it's just that not many WWII games include the Japanese.
No idea! Just moved to a new area so I have lots of stuff to reorganize so I am a bit more busy than usual. I have got a few more medium updates(not minor or major) before I add a new faction. They are as follows in no particular order:
